General Hospital Update for Friday, 8-May-2009

Waiting was the order of the day in Port Charles today. There was waiting going on at GH, as a full waiting room waited for news of Michael's brain surgery--and Spinelli and Maxie were waiting while on stakeout. Lulu and Ethan and Rebecca and Nicholas were also waiting; Lulu and Ethan waiting for what Tracy was going to do and Rebecca and Nicholas waiting for Helena's next move.
We start off at GH, where Patrick is in the middle of Michael's risky brain surgery, and Carly, Sonny and their supporters are settling in for a long haul in the waiting room.
There are more immediate problems the room has to face; starting with Claudia. She has insisted on waiting next to Sonny, and the room's not exactly overjoyed to have her there.
Claudia finally grows a brain and gets out of there, going to her own OB appointment with Dr. Lee.
Jacks, in the meantime has ducked out to see Olivia, and asks her how best to deal with getting the mob princess away from Carly.
Carly is getting mediation lessons from Jason while waiting, but the room mood doesn't improve when Claudia comes back and tells everyone in front of Carly how Dr. Lee said she's going to sail through her pregnancy!
On to Spinelli and Maxie. Spinelli is still helping Maxie find out who stole the Crimson shoe layout and gave it to Couture. He comes up with the idea of putting a small GPS device on another layout, which would lead them to the thief.
Maxie gives him a layout which is dear to her heart--how to dress like an elf while not looking like a dork! (Christmas layouts in May??)
Maxinista and Spinelli PI's are on stakeout in a local garage, one thing leads to another and soon the dynamic duo is kissing passionately--while we see a woman in spike heels holding the layout!
On to Lulu and Ethan. Lulu is thrilled that Luke is finally trusting her with the dirt, as Lucky has made it clear that he wants no part of his father. Luke tells his daughter that Tracy is up to something and Lulu figures out that Ethan is involved. (big stretch).
As Tracy comes back to the Haunted Star, Lulu grabs Ethan and starts kissing him--just in time for her "Stepmonster" to see and be horrified!!
Finally, Nicholas and Rebecca. Things are also heating up with this couple, as after the paint job is over at Rebecca's room, they get close--and Mike walks in.
Alexis on the other hand, has done some digging into Rebecca's past, and has discovered that she did indeed spend time in Greece. She wastes no time in giving the news to Nick, telling him that there probably is a connection between Rebecca and Helena.
Alexis also offers Rebecca money to leave Port Charles, telling her that "Helena always kills her pawns", so we shall have to see what happens next!! Waiting.....
