General Hospital is all about FEELINGS today. Robin finally went to see her therapist who tells it like it is. Robin has this mistaken idea that she can treat herself with Holistic methods,, exercise, diet, and hormone pills. The doc reminds her that this postpartum depression is serious. Robin,I think, feels that because she is a dr. she can cure herself . This is dangerous thinking. In fact, the story line is excellent . Since Sonny suffers from bipolar depression, he empathizes well with Robin. As the therapist says; " You must Want the help for yourself.. not for Patrick." The doc says : " Perhaps, You don't need me." The first time with a shrink has got to be emotional on every level. Robin begins her session wih facts not feelings. When she does confide ,she states that she can't eat, she's lost interest in sex, she does not like doing the MOM thing, etc. Robin is in trouble so she needs to see the doc and take an antidepressant so she can look after her precious Emma. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE GET THE IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH OTHER THAN just PHYSICAL? GH DOES A GREAT JOB EXPLORING THIS ILLNESS and utilizing Sonny's bout with depression.
`A lady who has tried to take her life enters ER. She just had a baby about 3 months ago. It is a wake up, scary, call for Patrick and LIZ. Patrick begs Jason to help him to help Robin.
LuLu and cute ,charming, sly Ethan do a little gambling to help retrieve her moolah. This is funny! I think Ethan likes her soooooo.
Johnny beats Ric almost to a pulp before Claudia stops the fray. Claudia tells Sonny that Ric is blackmailing her,but she doesn't really tell him the truth per se. Sonny tells her : "IF Ric touches you or upsets you, tell me." Sonny's respect for Claudia touches her in many ways because no man has ever shown her respect. Sonny seems to know what she needs. She goes to see Michael, and she sobs and begs him to forgive her. She says: " I am afraid that if your dad finds out, he will kill me." Carly walks in after the words have been spoken. Oops..Carly is upset because Jax tells her that the operation could kill Michael.She is sooooooo stubborn.
Jax tells Claudia that he will NEVER tell Carly about Jerry's tape.Olivia also has a long talk with Sonny on the dock. He said: " Hey, I could have been your son's father." Wow! For a moment,I thought she was going to tell him about their son. They were reminising about their being together as teens.
Please tune in tomorrow to see what is happening with Robin. She is supposed to see the doctor daily but..The dr, has told Robin this.: " You seem to talk a lot about how things should be but not your feelings. Soooooo true. As Sonny said: "You must open up."How can a doc help if his or her patient does not open up.? A psychiatrist is not a mind reader.
