General Hospital Update for Friday, 13-Mar-2009

Happy Friday the 13th! It was a good one in Port Charles. Let's see, couples were coming back together, as Patrick and Robin made plans for a romantic dinner (and it looks like Robin's going to come undone, but more on that later); Claudia and Sonny were bonding and Jax and Carly made love.
Almost forgot to mention that Jason, Sam, Maxie and Winifred freed Spinelli and busted up that art theft ring--but the sad thing is that in order to keep Spinelli out of prison, they have no choice but to get him out of the country.
Might as well start with Spinelli. As we remember, he's being held captive by an art thief, who thinks that he's helped her get away with the theft of "Woman with a hat", a painting valued at $10 million.
Of course, all of this is happening near LA, which means that Spinelli's friends have to fly across the country to help him.
Everyone works together and the upshot is that the ring members are soon getting ready to go down the river--and it's decided that it would be better for Spinelli to give Winifred the credit.
Agent Rainer shows up as the ring is being transported to jail and proceeds to rip Winifred a new one--but then says that not only is she topic A at headquarters, she just got a promotion!
On to our happy couples. Robin has finally realized at Mercy that she forgot something just kinda sorta important: where the heck Emma was!! She races back to Kelly's and is relieved to discover her daughter still sleeping peacefully in her stroller, where she left her hours before.
She wheels Emma out of the diner and is apologizing to her outside when Patrick shows up. He asks Robin about their day and she concocts a fat lie about going to the park and pushing Emma in a swing .
Patrick is thrilled about this and apologizes to Robin over the Post Partum Depression stuff and his goofy little brother for bringing it up to her. He tells her that he will take Robin out to her favorite French restaurant as a reward.
Robin agrees, but is shown later driving her car up a steep cliff. Don't know what she's going to do, but it can't be good.
On to Sonny and Claudia. Sonny tells his wife about Michael's not being a candidate for the experimental procedure. Claudia is genuinely sorry--and approaches Sonny with an out of the box idea: a party, for the five crime families in Port Charles, that will show everyone that Sonny is now in charge.
Sonny is skeptical initially, but comes around, thinking that it could possibly work after all. One thing leads to another, and Mr. and Mrs. Corinthos soon wind up in the sack, and....NEXT!!
Finishing up with Jax and Carly. Carly is heartbroken about Michael, but has decided to move on with her life with Jax. They also wind up in bed, which is sweet. Jax has offered to take Carly to Fiji for a vacation, which is a very nice idea and while they are there, they are also going to renew their wedding vows. Nice....
And with that, it's time to leave Port Charles till Monday!!
