General Hospital Update for Friday, 6-Feb-2009

February typically is the month of love to most of us--but in Port Charles, it means crisis, crisis, crisis!!
And lately, it seems that that's all our friends have been dealing with. Let's see, the hospital poison crisis is still going on, and the death toll is mounting--and Trevor might actually profit from it; Anthony is one person who won't be dying at the hospital and it's crisis averted for Robin (for now).
Almost forgot to mention that Ethan lets Luke know that there is a connection between them after all.
We start off at GH, which is the center of all the action. The death toll is starting to mount at the hospital, sadly including one much-loved nurse.
As we remember, Leya Mir passed away earlier this week from the poison; sadly before she could marry her fiance. She died with a smile on her face and Patrick was devastated, poor guy.
Several people are still in ICU, most notably Monica, Liz, Kate, Claudia and Matt--and the hospital's still in lockdown.
Things are still not secure--as it was discovered that one of the poison cylinders was stolen from the OR, and could be with anyone, anywhere.
And today we find out who ripped it off: none other that Trevor; who decides to keep it as his insurance policy, that slime!
He tells Ric and Claudia that he'll use it to "see Costa Rica..."
On to Anthony, who's literally running for his life. Yes, I did say that as the secret's out: everyone, including Sonny, knows that he can walk--and he was the one who shot Kate on her wedding day.
And of course, Sonny's out for blood. He chases Anthony through the hospital, finally getting a tip from Trevor that he's hiding in the chapel.
Sonny finally has Anthony where he wants him; cornered at gunpoint in the chapel, and Anthony is begging for his life when Jason storms in, waving a gun at Sonny and tells him to drop it.
There's a showdown between Jason and Sonny and Sonny kicks Anthony in the back and tells Jason that he's not going to shoot him, for Jason.
Now Robin's situation. Maxie and Johnny have found her shivering in the snow, with her car abandoned and panic: where's Emma?? After Maxie frantically looks everywhere, Emma is found, right where Robin put her in a tree trunk for warmth.
Johnny is able to fix Robin's car and is soon driving everyone to GH, as Emma's fever is higher and Robin is almost catatonic at one point.
Robin is able to call Patrick on her cellphone (it was charged in the car, I'm assuming) but the phone dies before Patrick can tell her about the lockdown and not to come.
They get to GH and get the news from a worried Jax, who is standing outside of the hospital. And Emma's getting sicker!
Finally, Ethan and Luke. During a game of pool, Ethan lets slip that it's not really a coincidence that he's in Port Charles after all, as he has a connection to Holly, one of Luke's past loves. This is going to get only better....
And with that, we'll have to wait till Monday to see if everyone pulls through!
