General Hospital Update for Friday, 26-Dec-2008

And I hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Port Charles had another special day to look forward to: Robin and Patrick's wedding, which went on today. There was more joy on tap, as Sam was discharged from GH.
Getting back to Robin: the lady of the hour. Memories of Robin abounded for several members of the wedding party and the guests. We got treated to delightful flashbacks of Robin growing up; from the time she met her daddy for the first time at age 6 (Robert's memory) to the time she told Mac that she indeed was HIV positive. (Mac's memory).
Robin also remembered Stone--and recalled showing him the mantilla that Anna wore when she married Robert for the first time. It would have been sweet if she had worn it today, but it wasn't to be.
And was Robin a beautiful bride, or what? She took your breath away and I have to confess, I had to wipe a tear from my eye, along with everyone else in the GH family.
It was also perfect that Robert walked her down the aisle. Although he was right in saying that Mac was there for the tough stuff as she was growing up, I frankly wouldn't have had it any other way. It was also so nice that Robert and Anna were there as Mother and Father of the Bride.
The wedding was a Maxie Jones production and Maxie was sitting there like the voice of doom, willing a catastrophe to happen. Actually, even though nothing has happened (yet) at the wedding, it's plain to see that Maxie has inherited the torch that's been passed from former bad girl turned good Lucy Coe. Lots of comic relief from our Maxinista as was with our girl Lucy!
Let's see. The only other things of note to happen today were that Sam was discharged from GH to her apartment, with Lucky waiting for her. Lucky and Sam also finally clued in Alexis about their fake breakup, so everyone's now on the same page.
Jason also went to Sonny's house and told him that the Russians have finally left Port C--and asked if he could stop working with the Zacharras. We will have to wait till Monday to see what Sonny says...
