General Hospital Update for Friday, 12-Dec-2008

And the year is really ending with a bang in Port C! There's plenty of sadness to go around, with potential for some joy in the future. Let's see: Liz and Jason decide to end their relationship for good, Nick and Nurse Nadine deal with the loss of Nadine's Aunt Raylene and Sonny seems to finally realize that he and Kate are over. Gee, would marrying Claudia have anything to do with it??
On the flip side, Lulu and Maxie bite the bullet and move in together, but Maxie and Spinelli are "treated" to the sounds of Lulu and Johnny baptizing her new bed!! Adventure junkie Sam is also on a new jaunt, as we shall see...
We start off with Liz and Jason, who are at the courthouse after testifying to the FBI in the matter of the firebombed Russian roadhouse and Jake's kidnapping.
It seems that Liz has finally seen the light, and realizes that Jason has been right all along: his life is really too dangerous and violent to share. He tells her that he will set up a trust fund for both Cameron and Jake, and make sure that Jake's future is provided for--but he will have absolutely no contact with either boy. Tearfully, Liz agrees.
Meanwhile, Sam is telling Lucky why she has pulled away from his kiss; giving him a story that her old hip injury has flared up again. Lucky doesn't seem to really believe it, and agrees to meet her for dinner later.
Sam is walking back with groceries and happens upon an SUV filled with Russians--most notably Sasha Donev! She picks the back lock as the Russians go into a building and is looking through their files when the Russians get in the vehicle--and take off with Sam in the back seat!! Uh-oh....can we say here we go again??
On to Nick and Nurse Nadine. Nick is helping her deal with the loss of her beloved Aunt Raylene, and even goes to make the funeral arrangements for her. An old high school buddy of Nadine's, who just happens to be the attorney who drew up Raylene's will, drops by and tells Nadine that Raylene made sure to take care of her in her will. Will be interesting to see what Nadine was left, right?
Moving on to Sonny, he goes to see Mike at GH, and is surprised to see Kate visiting him. Kate offers to leave, but not until she and Sonny get into a huge fight over Claudia--which seems to make Sonny realize that Kate is so over him!! And gee, maybe her dropping the bomb that she slept with Jacks had something to do with it??
Finally, Port Charles' answer to the Odd Couple, Lulu and Maxie. They've actually moved in together, and now have to deal with Johnny and Spinelli.
Spinelli's really not thrilled about the arrangement and gets really squeamish when Lulu and Johnny start breaking in Lulu's bed!!! Ewwwww...can't wait for Monday!
