General Hospital Update for Friday, 5-Dec-2008

Poor Jake Spencer! What a rough life he's had so far. He's just turned 18 months or so and has been kidnapped twice--and now it might well be curtains for Liz and Jason's little boy.
Let's see: Jason and Sam found where the Russians were keeping Jake, with potentially disasterous results, Claudia and Ric are reestablishing their relationship--right under the nose of her new husband Sonny, Johnny told his father to pack sand and Carly is doing everything she can to destroy Kate's cocktail party! Otherwise, just a normal Friday in Port C...
We start off with Jason, Sam and Jake. Jason and Sam have found the Russian's safehouse and think that's where they are keeping Jake. Sam volunteers to go into the house and tell them she's looking for work, and see if she can grab Jake.
She runs into two snags: Sasha Donev and the fact that she doesn't know that the place is booby-trapped.
Sasha is immediately suspicious of her but tells Sam to wait, that she might have a job she can do. In the meantime, Sam stumbles on the room where Jake is being kept with a guard, but Sasha finds her and the two women start to fight.
Jason, meanwhile, is busy. His cover has been blown and he's in a gunfight with two Russians. Before one of the Russians dies, he trips the booby-traps and the whole place goes up. We see that Jason does escape, screaming Jake's name...
On to Carly and cocktail party sabotage...Kate is throwing a big bash at the Metrocourt to relaunch Crimson, and of course the ex-Mrs Jax is going to do everything she can to ruin it.
Carly pays a mechanic to temporarily disable an elevator--the one that Kate's in, big surprise, and when Kate finally makes her own party, she sees that Carly is holding court--wearing the dress that Kate also has on!!
All of this drama played out in front of the Crimson staff, Lulu included, who had also witnessed her own drama with Johnny and his father prior to that.
Johnny had met Lulu at the Metrocourt before the party when they came upon Anthony, who asked Johnny to come home. Johnny told his father that he would rather eat nails basically than come back to the family, adding to new brother-in-law Sonny that he could run things as he sees fit, as he has no interest in the family business anymore.
But Sonny has bigger problems with Claudia, whom he caught kissing Ric when he finally came home!
And with that, we'll have to wait till Monday to see what happens next!
