General Hospital Update for Friday, 21-Nov-2008

What a Friday! Liz, Sam and the boys are safe (they think) in their little cabin in the woods, Claudia is getting ready to marry Sonny, despite John and Olivia's objections, Mr. Luke is back in residence at the Q mansion, and is trying to find a place in the wife's heart--and Jason is in hot water again! Did I forget that Jacks and Nicholas are also going mano-a-mano??
We start off with Liz and Sam, who are heading to Jason's safehouse in the woods. They are traveling with the boys, and the trip is proceeding smoothly, until the first disaster hits: a flat tire. Luckily, Sam, who is handy with most anything, is also handy with a jack and is able to change the tire. (Would've been cute to have seen Liz try and do that!)
Anyway, they reach the safehouse in one piece and Liz calls Jason on a landline, explaining that there's no cell service up there. Jason isn't happy about that, and is really disturbed that Lucky isn't with them, and starts to worry.
And he does have good cause to worry--as when Sam goes out to get firewood, she realizes that the woods are full of Russians, all gunning for them! She and Liz lock the door and Liz tries calling Jason, but realizes that the Russians have cut the lines...NOT good...
On to Claudia and Sonny, who are hearing wedding bells! Claudia explains to Johnny that it's a strictly business deal for both of them, as Sonny has to do it to become the head of the Zacharra organization per Anthony--and this move will only increase Claudia's power to give to Johnny, when it's time for him to take over.
Johnny isn't buying it, and cringes when he realizes that the couple will actually sleep together!! Ewwww...
Noone in Port Charles is happy about this, especially Jason and Olivia, who both hear the news at the same time from Ric.
Claudia, however, wants to have her cake and eat it too. She goes over to Sonny's house, and not only asks for a proposal, but an engagement rind. Sonny proposes thru clenched teeth, but we shall have to see whether he comes thru with the ring.
On to Luke and Tracy. Luke is making it clear that he's moved back into the Q mansion, getting massages from Alice and drinking Edward's booze, but noone's happy to see him there, except for Alice, Cook and Lulu.
The rest of the family, including Tracy, wants him gone! One little tidbit uttered by Monica didn't escape me: she's now Chief of Staff at GH, which in my humble opinion, is WAY overdue, so nice going!
Jacks and Nicholas are taking it to Spoon Island, and Carly is making it clear that she's had enough.
Jacks goes over to Windemere, and tells Nick that not only has he purchased Spoon Island, he's already got plans for it, as he's going to build a spa and resort there! Carly is right behind him, and suggests that the boys each drop their plans for buying the others' properties and go back to their respective corners. (what is the world coming to--Carly is making sense!!) This one definately is not over...
Finally, Jason--arrested yet again!! This time for the Warehouse fire and the murders of three Russians. Oooookaaayy... Any bets as to how fast he'll get off this time? And with that, tune in Monday!
