General Hospital Update for Friday, 14-Nov-2008

Today's episode was a somber one, as the mob war that everyone's feared for so long has finally begun.
Sonny fired the opening shot when he murdered Karpov, whose forces struck back when they beat up Mike and torched Kelly's to boot. Now Jason's truck yard is demolished, and what's worse is that the coffee shop has also been torched--with Olivia trapped inside it!
And from what happened today, it looks like Sam and Maxie are next, and they don't know it yet! They were sharing secrets in Sam's apartment when we see one of Karpov's men trying to get in...
The only other item of note that happened today was that Robin, along with baby Emma, have been discharged from GH (finally!!) and as she said triumphantly to Patrick, "The Scorpio-Drakes are going home!!"
As we said before, Karpov's men torched Kelly's; beating up Mike in the process. Mike's OK, thank the lord, and is recovering from his injuries at GH.
Although he's clearly happy to get a visit from Sonny, and later from Kate, he's saddened when he finds out that Kate and Sonny have ended their relationship.
Kate and Olivia leave GH, and Olivia tells Kate that she's taken steps to ensure that her cousin is safe, even hiring a private security firm to patrol her house.
Olivia once again winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time, when she goes to Jason and Sonny's coffeehouse and tells the Barista that she'll just wait for Jason in his office, thanks very much.
Too bad for Olivia that she's there when Karpov's men ransack the place, torching it and locking the door!! She's trapped and we see Sonny trying to get in, but I don't think he knows that someone's in there.
Now on a happier note, let's talk about the Scorpio-Drakes, OK? Patrick is hovering around Robin 24-7 at GH, and although Robin appreciates the attention, it's starting to get old for her.
She asks Dr. Hunter if he wouldn't mind taking his brother out for an evening, saying that although she loves him to death, right now she needs a break!
Robin and Patrick are bonding with Emma, and are excited when Epiphany announces they all can go home. It's going to be cute to see them adjust to parenthood....
