General Hospital Update for Friday, 31-Oct-2008

Happy Halloween! Lots of scary happenings today. Let's see: Baby girl Drake decides to interrupt her parents' wedding, Luke and Laura come face-to-face in Los Angeles (after Laura finds out that Luke has been married to Tracy for three years) and Sonny takes a swim with the fishes, courtesy of Karpov. Almost forgot to mention that Anthony is going to make a full recovery from his brain anyurism, thanks to Patrick, but knows that Claudia gets none of the credit!
We start with Robin and Patrick's wedding. As we all know, Patrick was so late, because of Anthony's surgery, that the guests thought that Robin had been left at the altar.
Things start off well. Robin walks down the aisle with Mac and the ceremony starts. The only problem is that Robin's water breaks!!
Naturally, she's in good hands, since half the GH staff is in the audience. After she gets to GH and is hooked up to a monitor, things are looking grim. It turns out that the baby's heart rate drops with each contraction and it's feared that the placenta is wrapped around her neck. A C-section is planned.
On to Luke and Laura. As we remember, Scotty kidnapped Laura from Shadybrook and has taken her to Los Angeles, to the scenes from their honeymoon.
It's actually going almost well--until Laura gently tells Scotty that although she'll always care about him, she'll never love him like she does Luke.
Scotty tells Laura at that point about Luke being married to Tracy and says that she can call anyone in Port Charles and they'll say the same thing.
Laura calls Edward, who confirms the bad news. At that point, Laura has had enough and tells Scotty that she wants to go back to the hotel. Once they pull up, she comes face-to-face with Luke, who has just said good-bye to Tracy!
On to Sonny, who's in rather a jam, thanks to Karpov. Karpov's thugs capture him at GH, and take him for a meeting with their leader on the docks. Karpov stabs him and his men padlock his legs together, throwing him into the water. Not good for him...
Finally, Anthony. He has woken up from surgery and instead of being glad to see his children, tells Claudia that he remembers her not rushing to get help while he was on the floor and won't forget. Scary!!
What a way for Halloween to go down in Port Charles!
