General Hospital Update for Friday, 24-Oct-2008

Halloween is only one week away and to say that scary things are happening in Port Charles is an understatement!
Here's what went down: Sam was booked for possibly smuggling illegal drugs (thanks, Jerry!); Luke sobers up (thanks, Tracy!) long enough to try and come to Lulu's rescue; Claudia and Jason try to get married (you heard me), Sonny finds out about Dante Falconeri and scariest of all, Scott kidnaps Laura from Shadybrook! Ewwww...
We start off with Sonny. He's visiting Kate at GH and answers Olivia's cell phone while she's out of the room. Surprise, it's Dante, Olivia's son, who wants to know where his mom is.
Olivia walks in on the tail end of Sonny and Dante's conversation; just in time for Sonny to ask 20 questions about Dante; you know, when was he born and the biggest question of all, who's his father! Would he flip to know that guess what, it's him!
Olivia is able to get Sonny off the scent, long enough for Sonny to praise her, saying that it had to be tough for her to be a single parent. She says that it was, but she wouldn't change a thing about her life.
Turning to Sam and Jerry, we see Sam at the PCPD being booked for smuggling illegal drugs while working undercover. The green-eyed monster is biting Lucky again, who's jealous that Jerry was kissing his girl in the hottub when Alexis found them. He grills Sam and tells her that he's getting out of town for awhile to think.
On to Claudia and Jason. Claudia has talked Jason into going with her to be married at a Justice of the Peace's office, in a way to prevent Sonny from taking over the Zacharra organization. As we remember, Anthony had imposed this one condition on Sonny: that he marry Claudia in a sign of good faith before he took over the family.
Claudia tells the Justice of the Peace that they don't want anything to do with love in the ceremony and the faster it goes, the bigger the monetary bonus for him.
After seeing that the happy couple didn't even want to hold hands in front of him, the Justice refuses to marry them, saying that he just can't do it. Jason apologizes for wasting his time before he leaves with Claudia.
Meanwhile, Luke is sobering up, courtesy of Tracy, in the same Mexican bar that she found him in.
Tracy keeps telling him that he needs to be on his A game for Lulu, but he says that she's a Spencer, which means that she's a survivor and doesn't need him.
Little does he know. Tracy complains about missing a cell phone call while dealing with Luke. Guess what, it's Lulu, who wanted to tell Tracy that things were going from bad to worse at Shadybrook!
Seems that Scott had heard her confess to Laura who was catatonic (we thought) that she killed Logan. As a result, he told her that all she deserved was a lethal injection and he was going to go to the police--when all of a sudden, there was Laura, saying "Not my daughter!!", stunning both Lulu and Scott!
Laura made Lulu tell Scott how her killing Logan was self-defense, which Scott didn't believe for a second.
Scott tells Laura that he won't go to the police about Lulu on one condition: that Laura come with him. Lulu is stunned and tells her mother that she will go on trial, but Laura is adamant: she will leave Shadybrook with Scott.
All of a sudden, we are in the car with Scotty and Laura, who asks how far he thinks he's going to get with a mental patient in a nightie.
Scotty tells her that all he wants is to make Laura love him again--but in the meantime, Shadybrook staff sees Lulu trying to call Tracy and threatens her with sedation. It makes us remember that mental patients also have a hard time being believed...
