General Hospital Update for Friday, 3-Oct-2008

Happy October! Halloween is around the corner in Port Charles--and the usual spooky happenings are going on!
Let's see: Kate is recovering from being shot (again!!) and another secret is bubbling under the surface, Robin pops the question to Patrick, Nicholas is making a bid to take over the Metrocourt and Nurse Nadine is fighting anyone who would take her man from her. Did I forget to report that Johnny is on his latest self-destructive phase--and Claudia's relationship with Rick is heating up?? (Ewwww) And finally, the spookiest event of all: Sonny wants to take the business back from Jason!
We start off with Kate's surgery. Kate is being prepped for risky surgery to repair the damage from the bullet, and actually regains consciousness twice before going to the OR. She tries to tell Patrick to tell Sonny something important, but isn't able to.
Afterwards, the good news is that the surgery is a success--Kate will recover fully and walk again! After Olivia gets the good news from Sonny, she steps out into the hall outside Kate's room to make phone calls to the Falconeris, and starts yelling at her son--right when Kate is able to blurt out to Sonny her secret: that Olivia had Sonny's baby!
Speaking of Patrick, he's quite pleased with himself that he's saved another life, and runs into Robin in the doctors' lockerroom. Robin has done a lot of thinking and has decided that marriage is a good thing afterall, and promptly pops the question to the father of her baby.
Patrick is flattered, but turns it down cold, crushing Robin's feelings in the process.
On to Nurse Nadine and her latest antics. She and Nicholas finally made love and now it's the morning after. She wakes up in Nick's arms at Windemere, and it looks like they are headed for round two, when Alfred knocks at the door with a breakfast tray.
Nicholas and Alfred are acting like it's just a typical morning at Windemere, but Nadine is freaked out--being in bed with Nick while Alfred is there.
She says her goodbye's and heads over to GH, confiding in Leyla. Nadine winds up at the Metrocourt--walking in on the tail end of a meeting that Nick is holding with Carly in the hotel lobby.
Carly is smoothing out his wrinkled collar, which makes Nadine's hackles rise. She hides behind a sofa and later tells Carly to stay away from Nick!
And why was Nick meeting with Carly? He still wants to buy the Metrocourt (why, I have no idea) and is now approaching Carly. As we remember, Jacks was not interested. Jacks talks to Carly and is satisfied that she also is not interested in selling, but Carly's got news for him: She wants Jacks to sell out to her!
Turning to the Zacharra's side of Port Charles, we see that meeting Laura Spencer at Shadybrook has totally freaked out Johnny; so much so that he's become self-destructive realizing what's in store for Lulu.
He tries to run his boat into the side of a freighter in the harbor and is picked up by the shore patrol, totally drunk to boot.
Scotty confronts him at the PCPD and Johnny goads him, saying that he killed Logan and he liked it! Scotty's buttons are totally pushed and he goes for Johnny--just as Rick and Claudia walk in.
Rick is able to free Johnny (again!!) and Claudia is totally prepared to pay off on her part of the bargain....ewww...I REALLY don't want to see them in bed!!
Finally we turn to Sonny. Sonny has decided that he wants back in the mob and goes to his old office, where he tells Jason that he wants it all back!! Hoo boy....
