General Hospital Update for Friday, 5-Sep-2008

And if this episode is any indication, Fall is certainly going to be hot, hot HOT in Port Charles!
What happened today? Well, how does a devastating secret coming to light grab you for starters, with a murder trial thrown in for good measure? Oh, almost forgot to mention that Maxie is offcially playing nursemaid to Spinelli and Robin may have had a contraction!
We start off with that devastating secret--which could mean that a wedding is now off. Remember that Clarice had heard Diane and Max talking about how Sonny and Carly had had sex in their limo the night they brought Michael to his rehab facility? She finally got to spill the beans to Kate today and the results were as expected.
Jacks came over at that point and started to give Kate a lecture about breaking up his marriage, yada, yada, when Kate broke in and told him that this was the least of his problems.
In the meantime, Sonny and Carly had met in a public place and had decided to put that night behind them and move on with their lives. Carly even wished him and Kate the best in their upcoming nuptials, but she didn't know that the stormclouds were already gathering.
Both Sonny and Carly were confronted by their significant others--and we are going to have to wait to see what happens next in that department.
On to that hot murder trial--the Johnny Zacchara murder trial, to be specific. Claudia is finishing her cross-examination at the hands of Scotty, who is trying to get her to say that she knew that Johnny had a motive and did kill Logan. He's not having a whole lot of luck and the mob princess finally gets to leave the stand.
She's followed by Nurse Nadine, who sticks her foot in her mouth 30 different times and finally winds up in a jail cell herself, where she's visited by Nicholas. Why is she there? I honestly have no idea, unless verbal incontinence has been declared a crime in Port Charles! Honestly, the girl wouldn't shut up about Nicholas and how she's not in love with him, bada ba, bada bing...
Meanwhile, over at Chez Stonecold, Maxie has moved in to play nursemaid to Spinelli, who's recovering from his stint at GH. This isn't exactly good news to Jason, who's not exactly thrilled, but moves her luggage into the guestroom anyway.
After Maxie takes a shower, she comes waltzing into the living room in a towel, asking Spinelli for a loofah, and comes face-to-face with Mac, who's there to ask Spinelli and Jason questions for the umpteenth time!
Mac has a cow and demands that Maxie puts some clothes on and come home, but our girl says nothing doing. She's there to take care of Spinelli and that's that!
Mac even tries to get Robin to convince Maxie to come home, but Maxie refuses.
And speaking of Robin, she doubles over in pain at GH and says that she might have had a contraction. Sounds like it's almost time for her to have her baby!
