It's Friday in Port Charles--and that means that mob tensions, along with some good old-fashioned mysteries are heating up. Lulu and Johnny are still on the run, and now it's especially bittersweet, since today is Lulu's birthday, Sonny has ended his association with Andrei Karpov--but Andrei Karpov isn't buying it yet, and everybody's trying to figure out who's bringing the fake drugs into Port Charles! Is that enough for you?
We start off with Johnny and Lulu, who are still hiding in Professor Siegal's apartment in New York City. Today is Lulu's birthday, and Johnny still has surprises planned for her. It wasn't exactly what he had planned before Logan's murder, BUT as he tells Lulu, at least they are still in Manhattan!!
Johnny and Lulu tell each other about their favorite birthdays and Lulu remembers her 10th birthday, which she got to celebrate at Windemere. As she tells Johnny, she was dressed like a princess, which came in handy, since her big brother had his own ballroom to dance in!
Johnny brings out her birthday cake, complete with candles, but things are ruined when Lulu has a vision of a dead, bloody Logan carrying the cake instead of her boyfriend.
Nicholas and Lucky are still looking for their little sister and Nick forms an alliance with Claudia, who tells him about the phone call she got from Johnny saying that he and Lulu were OK. They make a deal to share any information they may get about the wayward couple.
And speaking of Nick, he has a small part in the illegal drug mystery. It seems that Nurse Nadine is doing some sleuthing on her own, and has honed in on Dr. Hunter as suspect number one!
Everytime Nick has heard about Nadine stalking Hunter, he has told her to stop--and it's clearly falling on deaf ears, as she has now followed him to a dark alley near the Waterfront. Thankfully, Claudia was there and pulled a gun on him, making him leave.
She brings Nadine back to the Waterfront Clinic, where she gets yet another lecture from Nicholas.
Hunter's connection hasn't really been established, but it's clear that Andrei Karpov also has a huge stake in the illegal drug ring. Sonny also goes to the Waterfront and has one of his shipping crates opened in front of Sasha, Karpov's lawyer. Surprise, it has drugs! (But we don't know if they are illegal or not...)
It doesn't make a difference to Sonny, as he tells Karpov, who has shown up. One of his conditions in agreeing to work for the Russian mobster was that he would ship no drugs into Port Charles. Now he has, so the deal's off.
Not according to Karpov, who has three of his Russian thugs pay a visit to Mike at Kelly's.
Karpov has also been busy hitting on Carly, and convinces her to take a ride with him to the Waterfront. Jason shows up at the crucical moment (right when Karpov was trying to kiss Carly) and gets him to back off--not before Carly is able to steal the mobster's PDA!
After Spinelli gets all pertinent information off it, he decides to return it to the warehouse, so noone's the wiser--BUT, being Spinelli, he gets into a spot of trouble with Sasha and her bodyguards. Maxie shows up and starts trying to get him off.
Almost forgot to mention that Nurse Nadine finally made her true feelings known for Nicholas--going over to Windemere and planting one on his lips!! Can't wait till Monday to see more!
