General Hospital Update for Friday, 1-Aug-2008

Wow, I can hardly believe that we are now into August! Where did the year go in Port Charles? What happened today? Well, in a nutshell, Kate is back from Paris and is happily planning her wedding to Sonny--but Jason has found out Sonny's connection to Andrei Karpov, which could put a damper on things.
And speaking of Jason, he ran into Liz, Cameron and Jake in the park: right before Monica saw them! Maxie and Dr. Hunter are fighting (what else is new) and Nadine is plotting some espinonage of her own, planning to sneak into his room at the Scorpio house to sniff out his connection to the counterfit drug ring.
Lucky and Sam are as hot as ever, even though they are officially undercover on the drug ring case, and Jerry is still creeping out Sam. And speaking of being creeped out, Lulu is having visions of a bloody, dead Logan, while she's on the run with Johnny, which is a whole adventure into itself!
We start off with Kate, who has returned from Paris bearing gifts for Sonny and even Mike. She walks in on the latest meeting Sonny is having with Karpov, and doesn't ask him about the connection with the Russian mobster.
Sonny warns Max against letting Kate figure out what's going on, and pretty soon it's clear that Mike is bamboozled, as he comes over and tells Sonny how proud he is that he's turned his life around.
On to Jason, who comes upon Liz and the boys in the park, waiting for Lucky. Jason's holding Jake when Monica sees them, telling the group that they make a pretty family picture. Jason takes off at that point, right before Monica tells Liz that she saw how Jason looked at her. Monica is no fool and I'm glad she's back from rehab!
Jason heads over to Sonny's, where he's seen sitting in the living room when Sonny and Kate come in. He's ready to grill Sonny about the Karpov connection, and from the looks of things, it's not going to be pretty!
Time for Maxie and Dr. Hunter, who are now fighting over garage door openers, of all things. He storms into the Crimson offices, demanding that Maxie return his garage door opener, and of course she denies ever taking it (later telling Spinelli that she did!!)
Speaking of Dr. Hunter, Nurse Nadine has decided that she's now Nadine the Spy--and has decided to break into his room at the Scorpio's while he's at GH to figure out what his connection to the drug ring is!
Sam and Lucky are also working undercover on the case, and Sam has gotten a job as a harborpilot on the waterfront--but is still creeped out when Jerry Jacks shows up!
Finally, we come to Johnny and Lulu, who are still on the run in New York City. Johnny's piano student Lourdes has figured out their true identities and Lulu has almost convinced Johnny that they might even run to Mexico. She's also haunted by Logan's murder and is now seeing visions of a bloody, dead Logan in the apartment. Hopefully, this ends soon!
