General Hospital Update for Friday, 11-Jul-2008

And another murder mystery hit Port Charles this week! The PCPD is dealing with the latest whodunnit in finding out who killed Logan Hayes (and of course Jason is closer than anyone realizes). Carly lashes out at Kate in a very humilating way and Patrick's court case has an emotional ending. Phew, makes me tired just to type this!
We start off with Logan's murder. As we all know, Lulu stabbed her former boyfriend accidentally when he confronted her in Johnny's penthouse.
Johnny, Claudia and Maxie come upon the scene and a decision is made to cover the murder up. Claudia believes that Johnny did the deed (she doesn't know that he's taking the fall for Lulu) and decides to help her brother out.
She arranges to have the carpet with Logan's blood on it burned, along with having Logan's body dumped in front of Nicholas' free medical clinic at the waterfront. She even has the license plate on the get-away vehicle switched.
One big problem for the Zacharras: no Spinelli on their team. The Jackal of Cyberspace has hacked into the security cameras around the clinic and is able to zoom in on the vehicle, leading Jason to determine that the killer was probably Johnny. This scares Claudia so much that she pulls a gun on Jason!
And speaking of Jason, he was arrested (as usual) for the murder and was put in a lineup of suspects for Nurse Nadine to identify.
Anthony even gets in on the act, having Maxie brought to him to grill her on what she knows about the case.
On to Carly and her on-going cat fight with Kate. She decides to strike back at the editor by digging up all the dirt she can find on her and goes to the press with allegations that she had an affair with Couture publisher Warren James.
The press ambushes Kate, who just happened to be with Jacks at the Couture offices. Everything was fixed by Sonny, who also showed up and was able to get rid of the press for her.
Kate had a melt-down in her office with Sonny and went to the ladies' room to cry in peace, when Carly showed up to gloat.
Carly just happened to run into Sonny at that point and didn't deny that she was behind what happened. Sonny told her to stay away and keep out of his life. (About time!!)
Finally, Patrick has his day in court. He is put on the stand and makes an emotional speech about how important Robin and the baby are to him and how much he will always love them. It's enough for Robin, who stands up and tells Patrick and the judge that he can visit the baby as often as he wants.
Anna and Noah are also moved by his speech, and Noah tells his son that he's a better man than he'll ever be. Anna on the other hand gets a text from Eli Love--who's coming to town again! Whoo-hoo!!
We'll have to see how this grandmother-to-be deals with THIS complication....
