General Hospital Update for Friday, 6-Jun-2008

Turn another page of the calendar and now it's June! Can't believe that the year is almost half over--and Port Charles has been a busy place this week. Let's see, Jacks and Carly come together and celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Sonny is starting to realize just how much his life has changed now that he's left the mob, Spinelli is trying to take charge of his life and Liz and Sam start to bury the hatchet. Did I mention that Claudia and Lulu are on the verge of starting a mob war of their own? Anyway, on to the action!
Starting things off with Jacks and Carly, Carly comes home and sees that Jacks has set up a romantic evening to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Champagne is chilling, romantic music is playing, and Carly is captivated.
He even has a gift for her. It's a beautiful charm bracelet with charms for Michael, Morgan and space for a charm for the child Jacks tells her that he hopes they have together. Carly tells him gently that she doesn't think she's ready to try again, but Jacks tells her that he can wait.
On to Sonny--who is definately having difficulties adapting to "retired" life. He sees Mike reeling from a beating at the docks and rushes him to General Hospital. It turns out Mike's gambling again and is in trouble with the local loanshark.
Sonny has GH call Kate to pick Mike up at the hospital, as he pays Mr. Loanshark a visit. Turns out that that doesn't make any difference, as the thugs tell Sonny that now that he's out of the mob, he really doesn't have anything to say about it and they're not scared of him.
Sonny's got more bad news to deal with, as he goes to see Jason to tell him to take the loansharks out and Jason tells him it's not high on list of priorities--and there's nothing Sonny can do about it!
Now Spinelli. He decides to take the bull by the horns and tell Maxie how he feels about her. He goes to see her at the Crimson offices and sees Maxie peeking at designs she shouldn't be looking at on Kate's desk. He sweeps the paperwork off the desk, grabs Maxie and kisses her.
Kate chooses that moment to walk in and promptly bans him from the office! Maxie is convinced that Spinelli did it because he saw Kate coming, and talks Kate into letting him come back after he leaves.
Sonny also kicks him out of Jason's office and calls him names, which upsets Jason. Poor Spinelli!
Moving on to Liz and Sam...Sam goes to see Liz at GH and asks if they can bury the hatchet for the sake of the boys.
Sam tells Liz that she realizes that Lucky is a committed father, and since she's been banned from being with Cam and Jake, it's kinda hard to be with her man--so it would be better if she could get some kid time as well--and Liz agrees!
Liz says that she realizes that she has been too judgemental in the past and maybe it's time to move on to a different place. So it looks like Sam and Liz could be at peace, which will be a good thing.
But Lulu and Claudia are definately waiting in the wings here! Lulu has caught wind of the growing friendship between Nicholas and Claudia, and is following Claudia all over Port Charles telling her to back off and stay away from him. She's royally ticking off Claudia and this one is only escalating. Stay tuned....
