General Hospital Update for Friday, 30-May-2008

If today's episode was any indication, summer is going to be hot in Port Charles! Let's see, the Zacharra's house sure got hot, as it burned to the ground, Jax and Carly's marriage is heading for rough waters and Maxie is back into full skank mode.
Almost forgot to mention that Spinelli's working out (about time!), Sonny and Kate are drawing closer together and Nicholas and Claudia are getting to know each other.
Let's start off with the Zacharras. Turns out that now that Jason is at the helm of Sonny's business, the Zacharras decided to make life interesting by blowing up one of his ships.
Although everyone at the Coffeehouse is asking for his retaliation strategy, Jason says that one isn't needed--as it turns out that he's got the ultimate one of all.
He breaks into the Zacharra mansion and is there long enough to light the match--and give Anthony the evil eye afterwards. Everyone got out of the mansion safely, but noone knows where Logan is.
On to Carly and Jax. Jax is back in town and fesses up to Carly that he went to Rome to look up Brenda. This sets her off, and she rages against his relation with Kate Howard--when in walks Kate!
Kate makes a huge blunder and asks Carly to reconsider her decision to have Sonny sign over custody of Michael and Morgan to her. Carly breaks the world record in throwing Kate out of her house--and the fight between her and Jax really gets started.
Carly starts ranting about Kate again, and Jax finally grows a pair and throws her relationship with Jason in her face. (About time!!)--and the real reason that Carly hates Kate so much--because Kate's in love with Sonny! Touche!!
Now Maxie, or should I say Skankie?? She kisses up to Johnny at Crimson and invites him to a fashionista party, which he says no to. After getting Lulu out of the office, she calls up Johnny and gets him back to Crimson under false pretenses. When she has him sitting down, she jumps in his lap and starts kissing him--right in front of Spinelli!
Spinelli has been working out with Sam and tells Jason that he wants to develop a 6-pack and guns to impress Maxie, poor guy.
The only other things of note that happened today were that Kate and Sonny are finally burying the hatchet and growing closer together. Looks like Kate is really going to help him deal with the loss of Michael and Morgan. Also, Claudia and Nicholas are getting to know each other as she recuperates at Windemere, and discover that they've had a lot of similar experiences.
