General Hospital Update for Friday, 16-May-2008

A big storm's a comin' to Port Charles and things were definately unsettled today. Michael moved to his new long-term care facility in Manhattan, and Sonny and Carly were there to see him off. And they, oh, how can I say this, made each other feel oh so much better later! Kate and Jax went to Couture's big charity gala, also in the Big Apple and Kate is chock full of self pity for her part in the Devlin mess. Claudia had a fateful meeting with Jerry at the Cannery, and wound up taking a swim with the fishes--and did I mention that Nicholas has been discharged from GH and is home with Spencer?
We start off with Michael, who was transferred from GH to his new long-term care facility in Manhattan.
The trip went smoothly and as the paramedics are bringing him to his room, everyone sees Jason leaving it. Jason had come down to check the place out for himself before Michael arrived, and asked the staff to read Michael his book on Africa--the one he had loved as a baby.
Michael's favorite things from home are in his room and he's not wearing a hospital gown anymore or a bandage on his head (funny how fast his hair grew back!!) but Carly knows that it's definately not his home.
As Carly and Sonny are driving back to Port Charles, it hits her again. She yells at Sonny that they need to turn back and get Michael, because he will wake up and not know where he is. One thing leads to another, and all of a sudden they are kissing in the back of the limo!! I don't like where this one is going...
On to Jax and Kate, who are schmoozing at Couture's big charity gala. Couture's Publisher Warren's date is Giselle, who as luck would have it is the current Editor in Chief of Couture--and is totally threatened by Kate!
She makes some catty comments to Kate about Sonny and the shooting--but Kate is rescued by Jax when the claws are really ready to come out. He comes up and says something about how "Warren has been begging Kate to come back to Couture..." Two point for the Aussie!!
On to Claudia and her little swim. She meets with Jerry at the Cannery. He's lured here there because he says he's interested in going into the import business. One thing leads to another, and he winds up stabbing her and throwing her into the water when Alexis shows up.
Jerry is able to hide his bloody knife and throws Alexis off the scent--for now. But Claudia is able to get out of the water and into Johnny's arms at the end of the show. I guess we'll have to wait till Monday to find out how.
And speaking of Johnny, Lulu has made a definite commitment to him, but I'm not sure he's there yet. We shall have to see.
Finally, Nicholas. He's home from GH and hooks up with Spencer--who has been recast, btw. How old is this kid supposed to be anyway?? It sounds like at first, that Nick has gone out Against Medical Advice, but it turns out that Patrick did sign his forms, go figure.
That's about it for Friday. Can't wait for Monday!
