General Hospital Update for Friday, 11-Apr-2008

Michael's shooting has caused shock waves in Port Charles that won't go away soon! Carly is dealing with the news that Michael will probably never wake up, and Sonny, Jason and Claudia are dealing with guilt. On a different note, Patrick is speculating about the role that fathers play with their children and Max and Diane get jiggy!! (no, I'm NOT making that one up...)
We start off with Carly, who is lashing out at Sonny for pushing Kate, not Michael, out of the bullet's way. All he really is guilty of is not thinking and making the wrong decision in the heat of the moment, but Carly's having none of it. She tells him that he's no longer his father anymore and he's not to see Michael.
Kate tries to defend Sonny, but she really can't understand the depths of the raw grief that Carly is going through, so it goes over like a lead balloon.
Sonny is devastated and goes back to the warehouse, where the PCPD Forensic team is winding up its investigation. He sees the spot where Michael was shot and sees his dried blood on the floor and collapses in grief.
Jason wasn't at the hospital when Carly was screaming at Sonny, so he didn't hear anything. He was with Monica at her Rehab hospital, where he told her what happened.
Monica, who was also devastated, actually took the news very well--even saying she forgave Jason.
Claudia is dealing with it in her own way, actually going to see Michael in his room in the ICU (where IS GH Security when you need them??) and giving him a ring that belonged to her mother. This is all before Carly came back and threw her out of his room.
On to Patrick, who is drowning his sorrows at Jake's. He calls up Robin and announces he's drunk--before Claudia shows up...
Robin comes to rescue him and Patrick and Claudia are both sitting at the bar, go figure...
After Robin drives him home, Patrick talks to her about how he was thinking about Sonny and the role a father plays with his child as he was doing Michael's surgery--and how easy it is for a mother to push a father out of the child's life.
Finally Diane and Max!! She goes over to Sonny's, where Max is drowning his sorrows at the bar over Michael's situation. One thing leads to another and Alexis finds them doing the horizontal mambo on the couch!!!!!!!!!!! WowEEEEE!!!
And Monday should tell us more, so stay tuned!
