General Hospital Update for Friday, 4-Apr-2008

We thought that Michael learned his lesson regarding guns--but it was brought home to him in a more deadly manner today in yet another tragedy at the Waterfront. Lulu and Johnny and Jason and Liz were also forced to deal with their feelings for each other, and Claudia and Carly prepared to have it out.
We start off with Michael--who had been invited by Sonny to watch a shipment of coffee being delivered at the piers.
Things were going swimmingly, after Kate picked him up and brought him to the piers. (This also gave them a chance to talk about her shooting and he got to apologize to her before they left). Michael was following the dock foreman around like a puppy and was in his glory--until shots rang out.
Sonny was able to push Kate down and save her, but it was too late for Michael, as voices were heard yelling to call 911, as he was bleeding.
Who shot him? Turns out it was a failed attempt to bring Sonny down, cooked up by Claudia and Dr. Devlin--with Dr. Devlin actually firing the shots! Dr. Devlin had actually wanted Jerry to fire the shots, but he was smart enough to back out and has an actual alibi for it--getting into a fender-bender with Alexis, of all people!
On to Lulu and Johnny and their meeting at the Haunted Star. Lulu is trying to balance Luke's books, which are a mess, of course, when she sees Johnny on board. She confronts him, asking why he had to invest in the Star, and it was just a way to stay around her when she had asked him not to.
They have it out and it turns out they still do have feelings for each other...
Now, Liz and Jason. Jason is back from New York City after having the hand surgery (funny, there were no braces or casts on his hands, go figure...) and runs into Liz, who's waiting for him at his apartment.
All of this was courtesy of Spinelli, of course. But anyway, Liz and Jason decided that they did want a life together with Cameron and Jake!! This came about after Liz assisted on an operation involving a little boy in an accident, with the father there every step of the way,which made her see how unfair it was to keep Jason out of the picture.
Finally, Carly and Claudia. Carly was already in a bad mood after Jax left to go to Houston to attend a meeting for Kate Howard, when she got a call from the hotel. Claudia was upset that she couldn't book a suite and was being "difficult".
Carly went to the hotel and it was on with Claudia...the upshot being that Ms. Zacharra is no longer welcome at the Metrocourt--maybe sleeping with Sonny had something to do with it? Who knew???
