General Hospital Update for Friday, 7-Mar-2008

March has definately come in like a lion in Port Charles! Fatherhood was the word of the day today, as Patrick is dealing with the fact that he's about to be one, Nicholas doesn't want to have his surgery, leaving Spencer without him, and Scotty is still worried about Logan, who isn't out of the woods by any means. Did I forget to say that Liz brought Jake to see Jason before his surgery, and Patrick caught wind of it, wondering what was going on? Oh yes, and speaking of fathers, Claudia goes to see hers, and she wants information.
We start off with Patrick, who is questioning Liz over her decision to bring Jake to Jason before his operation. He tells her the big news--that he is the father of Robin's baby, and he's having a hard time dealing with it. Liz gives him a hug, and of course Robin walks in.
Patrick tells Robin after Liz leaves that he told her the big news, and Robin's furious, saying for all intensive purposes she went to the Sperm Bank for a donor. I do like Robin, but I did feel sorry for Patrick here. That was uncalled for, imho.
Moving on to Nicholas, he's gotten a visit from Alexis at Windemere. He tells her that he's glad she's there, as he's going over his will and wants to make sure that Spencer is taken care of after he's gone.
He tells a stunned Alexis that he's missing Emily so much, it's better that he dies to be with her.
Alexis is shocked, telling him that even though Spencer might be too young now, there will come a time that he will question what his father did, and it will devastate him.
Emily also takes Alexis' side--but of course, Alexis wouldn't know that. She is wearing an outfit identical to what Nick has on, because as she tells him, once a person you love dies, they become more and more a part of you.
Back over to GH, where Logan still hasn't come out of his coma, and a worried Scotty is never very far away.
Lulu waits patiently, and is able to sneak a few minutes in Logan's room when Scotty is taking a break, telling him that she's sorry this has happened to him.
On to Claudia, who has gone to see her father in his rehab hospital. She's on a mission, and wants dirt on Sonny Corinthos that only he can provide. He gives her names and numbers, but Claudia still isn't sure he's on the up and up. (Good thinking!).
Speaking of Sonny, he doesn't realize that Kate now knows about his one-night stand with Claudia, (thanks to Claudia!), and is stunned when she refuses to recover at his house.
She questions him, and asks him if there's something he's not telling her--but is stunned herself when she learns that Michael has been missing since the night she was shot, and Sonny thinks the Zacharras are behind it.
Now, Sam and Lucky. She has decided to take a stroll outside of GH, using her cane, but does a not-so-graceful manuever on the ice outside of the hospital--being caught just in time by Lucky!
They have a heart-to-heart, and Sam has accepted the fact that they have to move on, and she bears some of the responsibility for it. Very bittersweet...
Lastly, Spinelli and Cassius determine that Stan did leave one clue to his killer--a book called The Island of Dr. Moreau--which leads directly to Jerry, aka Mr. Moreau.
Jerry, who is under the gun from all sides, decides to take Jacks up on his offer and go into business with him--and I haven't a clue as to how this will take some of the heat off him, but I assume that we will find out on Monday.
