Epiphany is back at work and has some staffing problems. Elizabeth left on her break and never returned, Nadine is off, and Monica is MIA. She is not a happy camper!
Sonny tells Carly that he has no news on Michael and she tells him that she’s pregnant. He’s surprised because he didn’t think she could have children after her ordeal with Morgan, but he’s happy for her.
Maxie and Spinelli are arguing while stuck down in the sewer. Maxie drops her phone into the sewer water just as it rings.
After Nadine gives him a tip from her aunt (you feel closest to those who have died when you are where they died) Nikolas takes her to the warehouse where Sam shot Diego hoping to track him down.
Jason is unconscious. Lucky sees Sam hanging on for dear life to a rail under the bridge.
He grabs her wrist to keep her from falling,
Kind hearted Nadine tries to convince Nikolas that he’s using the same logic in seeking to kill Diego that Diego used as the TK.
Michael admits to Peg that he shot someone and that’s why he ran away.
Sonny realizes that Kate’s shooting and Michael’s disappearance are connected. But he blames the Zaccharas for both. Jax warns him that, if he’s wrong, it could cost them Michael.
Epiphany scolds Patrick and Robin for their juvenile behavior toward each other.
Spinelli daydreams about Maxie with him playing the part of an old-time private investigator and her being the object of his affection.
Nadine and Nikolas clash when she lets him have it about being so wrapped up in visions of Emily that he can’t focus on the here and now. He attacks her saying that, while she’s a wonderful, compassionate person and an excellent nurse, she obviously doesn’t have a life outside of her work and must have issues of her own that she won’t let go. He leaves her behind in search of Diego.
An injured Lucky is still able to pull Sam to safety. As he holds her, she tells him that he saved her life while he could have gone over the edge with her. “You didn’t have to do that”. she whispers. He replies, “Yes I did”.
Jerry barges into Alexis’ office demanding legal council. She refers him to Diane Miller saying that Diane is better at turning a blind eye toward her client’s moral failings than she is. Jerry refuses and admits that he really wants to spend more time with her.
The police and ambulances that Lucky called when he saw the accident finally arrive. Mac is furious that Jason got away with killing Alcazar and now his son is taking revenge on everyone who hurt him or his family. But he can’t make all of the connections. Sam tells Mac what she learned from Diego–that he was after Maxie because she had him arrested, but Georgie intercepted his text message to Maxie and showed up instead. Once Georgie saw him, he had to kill her. The same thing happened with Laticia–he was after Carly, but Laticia saw him. Emily was Jason’s sister. Mac replies that Jason will have to live with that for the rest of his life. Mac asks Elizabeth what her connection to the Alcazars was and she replies that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. When he asks her where that was, she replies that she was at Sam’s apartment when Diego was leaving.
Maxie asks Spinelli why he never noticed Georgie the way that she wanted him to. She asks what would have happened if he had begun a relationship with Georgie and then LuLu had decided that she wanted him, like she did with Dillon. He replies that he has never given his heart, body, and soul to anyone, but when he does it will be until the person decides to give it back.
Sam asks Elizabeth what she was doing in her building, but Mac interrupts to take Elizabeth’s statement before she can answer.
Diego grabs Nadine and she fights him off. Again he has his hands full with a petite woman. He is able to overpower her as she screams for Nikolas. Nikolas rushes to her aid, only to find her gone and her bag and it’s contents on the floor.
Mac appreciates all the information Sam gave him. Elizabeth tells Sam that Max saw her in Diego’s car and called Jason. Elizabeth doesn’t know that Jason sent Max to check on Sam when Nikolas told him that he remembered that it was Diego who killed Emily and that he must be alive. Nor does she know that Jason was concerned for Sam when he used her cell phone to discover that Diego had abducted Sam and taken her to Hangman’s Bridge.
Sonny and Max argue about Michael’s situation. Sonny tells him to concentrate on his own child.
Michael tells Peg that he shot his father’s girlfriend. He says he can still see her blood on his hands. When she asks why his disappearance hasn’t been on the news, he replies that maybe they don’t care. He repeats what Sonny told him–that if he ever caught him with a gun he’d better run and keep running. Peg tells him that her father told her to get lost lots of times, but she never took him up on it. She says that his running away will only cause more trouble.
Robin and Patrick continue to argue. He says that he plans to live up to the low opinion she has of him. She says their baby was conceived in grief, not love. Epiphany’s right–they’re acting like teenagers.
Peg encourages Michael to call home.
Ian, after being teased by Patrick about having lost his mojo, kisses Leyla but feels no passion. She says not to worry, he’ll find someone to get his heart racing, but if he ever does that again she’ll charge him with sexual harassment.
Sam is being treated at the hospital. Lucky insists on going to look for Diego. Sam begs him to get medical attention, but he refuses. Ian comes in and Lucky tells him to take good care of her. Ian replies that he tried to once and he won’t let her get away again. Lucky gives him a strange look as Ian closes the curtain.
When Jason regains consciousness, Patrick tells him that he has one finger hanging by a thread and nerve severance in his other fingers. If he doesn’t agree to immediate surgery he could lose the use of his hands and not be able to even hold a spoon to feed himself.
Down in the sewer, Maxie has tried to crawl through the gate and has gotten stuck. Spinelli’s efforts to raise the gate are finally successful, but now Maxie may be scraped off the side as the gate rises.
Diego sets up his detonators and the “Activate When Ready” light comes on just as Nikolas grabs him from behind.
