General Hospital Update for Monday, 3-Mar-2008

On Hangman’s Bridge, Diego is distracted after shooting Lucky when Elizabeth wrestles with him for control of the gun. Jason finds a wounded Lucky and pulls him to safety. Just then, he hears a shot come from the car.

Patrick is very emotional when Robin confirms that he is the father of her baby. She tells him that this was never her plan, but the night of Georgie’s funeral, when she reached out to him in her grief and he was there for her, it happened. He comments that this will change his life.

Trevor is being slapped around by Sonny’s men while Sonny tells him that he’s not half the man Anthony Zacchara is, even when he’s out of his mind and paralyzed from the waist down. Sonny sends Trevor back with a message that Anthony will get Johnny back when he gets Michael back. Trevor never lets Sonny know that neither he nor anyone in the Zacchara organization had anything to do with Michael’s disappearance.

Meanwhile, Claudia is telling Kate about her one-night stand with Sonny, although she is making it sound like much more than it was. She tells Kate that Sonny turned to her after Kate rejected his proposal. Kate responds that he was only using Claudia to try to obliterate the pain she caused him–she say’s “He was just using you...it could have been anyone”. When Claudia tries to hurt Kate by claiming it was much more than that, Kate immediately has her number and counters with “You’re just a scared little girl...I wonder what happened to make you this way.”

Patrick becomes angry with Robin when she acts like she knows what he wants. So, she asks him.

Back on the bridge, Jason and Diego struggle and Diego gets away as the car begins to tip forward and Elizabeth calls to Jason for help. Jason jumps on the trunk to balance it.

Claudia ends her cruel visit to Kate by telling her that she knows Kate’s a phony and that she won’t tell Sonny about their conversation. Just as Claudia leaves, Sonny shows up with a large box.

Maxie is furious with Spinelli for getting them trapped in the sewer.

Back on the bridge, Jason breaks the rear window of the car to rescue Elizabeth and then hears his motorcycle being driven away, presumably by Diego.

Patrick admits to Robin that he didn’t want to be a father. Robin goes ballistic and says he was nothing but a sperm donor. She tells him to go find the hottest woman in the bar and prove to himself that he’s still 18 years old. He stalks off even though they’re both in tears.

Claudia meets Trevor in the bar and has his number just like Kate has hers. She tells him that he wasn’t very smart in egging Sonny on by not admitting that they had nothing to do with his missing son. Trevor refuses to admit that he made a stupid move and continues to insist that Claudia let him handle things. He’s wasting his breath.

The gift that Sonny brought for Kate is a big yellow hat, like the one his father saw her wear years before. He says it reminds him of her and how he felt—that it was the first time he knew what it felt like to be in love. Kate is touched and, even though she can’t get images of Sonny and Claudia out of her mind, it’s obvious she won’t tell Sonny about Claudia’s visit today.

Back on the bridge, Elizabeth climbs out of the broken window and tells Jason that Sam is in the trunk. Jason bangs on the back seat, calling Sam’s name. She has been able to slip out of the ropes that bound her and pushes through the back seat just as the car tips forward.

Sonny tells Kate that he wants to make her feel the way she made him feel all those years ago. She excuses her emotions by saying that it’s the medication.

Spinelli finds what we already know, that either Diego or Lorenzo Alcazar are alive and accessing their joint account.

Back on the bridge,as Jason tries to rescue Sam the car lurches forward and he is thrown backward to the pavement and knocked unconscious. The car falls over the bridge with Sam screaming.

Sonny promises that he will make it up to Kate so she knows she made the right choice by deciding to give him a second chance. He also promises that nothing will come between them.

Claudia flirts with Patrick at the bar.

Back on the bridge, Lucky tells Elizabeth to go help Jason. He crawls over to the edge of the bridge where the car dropped off and calls for Sam.
