General Hospital Update for Friday, 22-Feb-2008

It seems like when one mystery is solved, another one starts, as that was the case today as the identity of the Text Message Killer is possibly revealed.
On a happier note, it looks like Kate is going to be OK, Michael is trying to call home and Marianna has been rescued by Ric. Sadly, Patrick has confirmed that Logan has slipped into a coma and might never come out of it--but we shall see.
We start off with the latest chapter of the Text Message Killer mystery. Sam has been released from GH and turns down Alexis' and Lucky's invitations to recuperate at their homes--choosing to recover at her own apartment. She doesn't realize that someone's waiting for her there--yep, our friendly serial killer!
She first gets a clue when she sees a picture in a smashed frame--but it's too late, as the rope is already around her neck . She fights her attacker off and demands to know who it is. The killer takes off his mask and it's none other than: Diego!!!!!!!!!!
Now we all thought that Diego had died last year at Sam's hands, remember? They were in the warehouse where Christina saw Sam fire a gun, causing Christina to go into her first catatonic state. That would explain why Diego wanted to go after Sam, but it leaves alot of other questions unanswered; like why he would have a motive to kill the others and how he came back from the dead in the first place!! Maybe this is why Christina screamed when she saw him a second time??
And a connection to this could be when Jason told Sonny that they had information that someone was making ATM withdrawals from Lorenzo Alcazar's bank accounts in Venezuela--meaning that perhaps Alkie could be alive?? Or maybe it was Diego, who knows?
Speaking of Jason and Sonny, Sonny is still keeping watch at Kate's bedside at GH. She's pulled through the surgery and it looks like she's going to make it--but she's not out of the woods yet.
Sonny is going to get revenge for his girlfriend any way he can. He's already stuck a gun in Trevor's ribs, but is now convinced that he didn't do it.
So he turns his sites on the next member of the Zacharra organization: Johnny. He goes over to Johnny's home, finds Johnny on the stairs, points his gun at him and says "This is for Kate", and fires. Not good.
Meanwhile, the person who really shot Kate, Michael, is getting ready to drop anchor in a new town that the ship he's stowed away on has landed in. He finds a cell phone in a tool bag belonging to one of the merchant seamen on board and dials Carly's number--but loses the courage to speak when she comes on.
Moving on to Ric and Marianna, we see that Ric has brought his new girlfriend with him to Port Charles for a new start. He calls Liz to come over and tend to her wounds, which she does. Trevor comes over, sees Marianna in a bathrobe and says "you work fast, but don't forget who you're working for", and then sees Ric, also in a bathrobe. Don't like where this one is headed.
Lastly, Logan, who we now know is NOT the Text Message Killer--but Sam is the only other person to actually know that in Port Charles! A police guard is posted outside of his room at GH and inside, the news is not good. Patrick tells Scotty that he has slipped into a coma, and could possibly not come out. Hope this doesn't mean the end...and Lulu has also come back to GH and is seen standing outside of Logan's room, so you know she does have feelings for him.
I guess we'll have to wait till Monday to see how this one turns out!
