General Hospital Update for Friday, 15-Feb-2008

February sweeps are in full swing--and am I ever glad that the writers are back at work! It can only get better from here, right?
Hmmm, what happened today? Oh yes, things are going to go from bad to worse for Logan, as it looks like "the Crabby Commando", to quote Spinelli, could be the Text Message Killer, Kate and Sonny could be trying again and Jacks' and Carly's troubles with Michael are going to come to a head. It also looks like Sam is figuring out that Liz could have been the one to hit her with her car, and people dealing with Claudia are learning to fasten their seatbelts, as they definately are in for a rough ride!
We start off with Michael, who is definately being a handful lately. Things start with Carly and Jacks putting laundry away in his room. Michael comes in, sees them and immediately orders them out. Jacks make him apologize and after speaking with Carly later, both start thinking that he's on drugs.
Little do they know that Carly almost discovered the gun that Michael was hiding in his top drawer. Michael packs the gun in his backpack and leaves, then Carly and Jacks search his room for drugs--and don't find anything.
It all comes to a head tragically, when we see Michael at an old warehouse with Carly standing outside. He climbs up on something and the gun falls out of his backpack and goes off, but we won't see what the fallout is till Monday.
On to Kate and Sonny. Kate has dropped by Alexis' house to see her--but Alexis has her hands full with Christina, who has shut down emotionally after seeing the Text Message Killer outside of the Lake house.
Alexis calls Sonny, who rushes right over,sees Kate and then talks to her about their different lives, etc. The upshot is that they MIGHT just be trying again. And we shall see how this attempt turns out, right?
And speaking of the Text Message Killer, it's looking more and more like Logan is our man, sorry to say.
More people are starting to realize this. Maxie and Spinelli, who have been working together, get Dr. Devlin to analyze the drugs that were found in Coop's room, and it turns out that they were issued to soldiers for research purposes--and make the person taking them emit a sweet smell.
Spinelli puts enough doubt into Lulu's mind, so that she decides to search Logan's apartment on her own. She makes a grim discovery there, as she discovers the black hat and gloves that the TM killer wears--and another vial of the pills that were found in Coop's room. And the worst part for her is that Logan walks in on her!!
All I can say is that if the TM killer is really Logan, why was Coop a DNA match with Georgie Jones? Just asking, but I'm sure we'll get the answer to that question.
On to Sam, who is getting answers to her own questions. She overhears Liz telling Nicholas at the Nurses' station why he's not the person who hit Sam, and how easy it is for a chopshop to manipulate evidence. Takes one to know one, I'm sure Sam is thinking, and she tells Liz that she's going to ask Lucky to look into ALL angles of this case.
Speaking of Nicholas, he collapses on his way to see Dr. Devlin in the GH halls, and gasps out that he now remembers seeing someone else now when Emily was killed at the ball--so it looks like the TM killer story is indeed going to come to a head.
Finally, the potential trainwreck that is Claudia Zacchara. Her little brother Johnny is now angry that she's back after so many years and tells her in no uncertain terms that she's got another think coming if she thinks she's going to be the head of the family. She tries to come on to Jason with no luck (who finally realizes that it's her) and goes to Sonny dressed in next to nothing. (Doesn't realize that he's spoken for as well, sigh). This will get interesting, I am positive...
