Recap for General Hospital 02/12/2008

We start with Alexis at the PCPD asking for information about who hit Sam, and Mac along with Scotty and the Mayor tell her to talk to Lucky, who just happens by and informs them he is no longer on the case.

There is a guard outside of Sam’s hospital room. Sam is restlessly sleeping, dreaming about the night of the accident, she then “wake’s up” to the Test Message Killer over her with a rope, but this too is a dream. She wakes up, for real this time, screaming.

Elizabeth is telling Jason she wants to go to the police and confess to falling asleep at the wheel when and where Sam was hit. Jason tells her not to do anything yet, as Spinelli has uncovered 3 more possible drivers, and begs her to wait until he can check everything out. Elizabeth wonders how he is going to question all these people; a man with a brain tumor, his best friend and his mother, at which point we see Monica enter. Elizabeth tells him not to put himself through this, but he is determined.

Lulu is in the park thinking about kissing Johnny when Logan walks up.

Credits!

Back at the nurses’ station, Epiphany questions Elizabeth about a comatose patient who needs meds, to which Elizabeth says there is a problem getting a hold of one meds. Epiphany, in not the greatest mood, tells her to hang what they have and order what they don’t have. She continues to lecture her when we see that Jason is still at the hospital. He is on the phone with Carly asking if she’ll be home later because he wants to talk to her.

Still at the hospital, we have Luke talking to Monica...who is not looking good. Luke is saying that Tracy is willing to call of the malpractice suit. Monica asks him whether she should just forget that he forged Alan’s will. Luke asserts that his recent brushes with death have shown him what hell really is, normal family life. While Luke is talking, Monica is thinking that she needs to be showing that she’s still on the ball. Luke is still talking, and Monica is just trying to get through this so she can go have a drink in the supply room. Luke is explaining to Monica that she and Edward are all Tracy has left and she wants to be with them. He pleads with Monica to meet Tracy halfway. Monica looks like she might be considering the idea when Tracy walks in and basically denies everything Luke just said. Monica and Tracy start bickering about whose more pathetic, Tracy for sleeping on a couch in the boardroom or Monica for being there even though she is suspended. Tracy accuses Monica of driving drunk and hitting public property with her car. Luke tries to get Tracy to leave, but Monica sticks to her story that her car was stolen, Tracy ain’t buying it. After Tracy and Luke leave, Jason, having heard this whole confrontation, makes the connection to Monica that her car was stolen the same night Sam was hit.

Patrick is in Sam's room asking her why he didn’t hear about her being attacked in the hospital. Sam says it’s because no one else saw him. Patrick questions whether Dr. Ian saw him, and Sam recounts what happened, that the masked man entered, threatened her and left before anyone came in. She insists that she was attacked by the TMK, and Patrick sings the same song everyone else does…wasn’t it Cooper and isn't he dead? Sam states her belief that the TMK is still alive and the reason no one is doing anything is because Lucky thinks she’s making it up to get his attention. Sam gets upset, and Patrick gives her a nice, innocent hug…for Robin to walk in on...and then walk out on.

Back at the PCPD, Lucky explains that he is removing himself from the case because of his history with Sam. Alexis questions what the past has to do with this. Mac says he shouldn’t have insisted on taking the case if he wasn’t sure he could handle it, Lucky thought he could. Alexis tells Mac that Sam thinks the TMK was in her room. Everyone says “No way, not possible!” Lucky then mentions that after he and Sam fought, she called him and told him the TMK had sent her a text and was attacking her and she was fighting him off (rib kicking anyone). Alexis wonders why he didn’t say anything before.

Logan scares the crap out of Lulu, who is still angry with him about coming on so strong. Logan says he understands now, and Lulu kind of ‘whatever’s’ him and starts to leave when he says he knows what happened between Luke and Laura. She is NOT pleased that he has this information.

PCPD, Alexis is reading Lucky the riot act for not doing anything. Scotty, Mac and Mayor don’t want Alexis to go public with Sam’s story for fear of creating a panic, Alexis really doesn’t care, she just wants her daughter safe. Mayor reminds her SHE announced that Cooper was the killer. Lucky says he’ll go back and look for Sam’s phone, and check the hospital for anyone with rib injuries...oh no, Scotty will take care of that for ya Lucky! What a guy. Mac assures Alexis that Cooper was the TMK. Alexis, still really doesn’t care.

Lulu and Logan discuss how he learned this piece of Spencer history, and if this is a legitimate excuse for Logan getting way too grabby. Logan assures her knows what he did was wrong and that he’d never hurt her. Lulu asks how she can believe him based on their history. Logan laments on how Lulu has saved him and she is not like the others and that she felt it too…and that she has feelings for Johnny.

Johnny’s at the hospital wanting to discuss his father’s condition with Patrick. Patrick says there is really no chance of recovery from the spinal injury. Johnny tells Patrick that Papa Z claims he can move his toes, but hasn’t seen it first hand yet. Patrick attributes it to Papa Z’s mental state, which Johnny concurs with however there are moments of lucidity…does this mean he could be getting better??

Dr. Kelly and Nurse Regina give Robin some baby gifts, which makes Patrick leave and Epiphany yell. Epiphany tells Leyla that a patient needs a shot, which she couldn’t give because…there isn’t any…hmmm…Elizabeth says she ordered some and it will be there in 30 minutes. This apparently angers Epiphany even more as she starts yelling again. Everyone comments and Epiphany’s mood, wondering what will happen when she actually deals with what happened to Stan.

Enter evil Ms. Sneed who questions Cassius why he is moving a patient without a transport order, everyone takes the blame, but Epiphany yells some more at them for trying to cover for her and barks orders at everyone.

Jason asks Monica if she hit Sam, she says she won’t dignify that with a response, as he’s the one who is a killer, but Jason swears he just doesn’t want her to get hurt.

Epiphany gets a package. It’s Stan’s remains. And I thought I was having a bad day!

At the PCPD Alexis wants Mac to take Sam’s account seriously, Mac and Mayor are very hesitant. Mac wants to wait for the cell phone to be found. Mayor wants Scotty to work with Alexis because she can’t be objective about it, and of course Scotty is Mr. Objectivity.

Logan says he has felt Lulu letting go for a while. Lulu doesn’t want Logan to blame Johnny. Logan says his mother used to say “Let go and let God," and he lost that along the way. Until he met Lulu. No matter what happens he is grateful for her and for everything she has done for him, and he knows that he has to let her go so that she can figure out what she wants, but he’ll be waiting.

Johnny is on the hospital roof and jumps up on the ledge and looks down. Luke comes up and asks if he needs a push, and thinks that might just simple things up for everyone.

Jason arrives at Casa Jacks. Jason asks the kids to leave so he can talk to Carly alone; Morgan does so, Michael…not so much. After a test of wills he does ...reluctantly...leave. Jason is concerned about him, Carly is concerned about Jason…Jason asks Carly about her car accident which happened the same night Sam was hit. Carly questions why Jason even cares who hit Sam.

Elizabeth is checking Sam’s vitals when Sam has a nightmare, Elizabeth says she’s so sorry, which of course Sam wakes up to hear…Sam said she remembers seeing the car, Elizabeth asks if she can see who’s in the car. Nope, headlights are too bright. Lucky walks in and tells Sam he found her cell phone, but it’s smashed. He questions her version of events, and she restates her case, he however informs her he’s not on the case and leaves. Sam just wants someone to believe her.

Elizabeth suggests Epiphany go home and offers to cover for her and everyone else offers to help out too. Epiphany scoffs that they can’t function without her. Leyla has medicine; Epiphany still isn’t happy and tells her off. Patrick stops Leyla and tells her not to listen to Epiphany, she’s grieving, and hugs her, which of course Robins sees again. Elizabeth tells her it doesn’t mean anything, but Robin is unconvinced. Elizabeth tries to convince Robin to tell Patrick the truth.

Carly says she didn’t hit Sam. Carly changes the subject back to her (of course) and being concerned about the TMK being alive, which Michael overhears (of course) and goes to his room to put a bullet in his gun. Morgan enters even though Michael locked the door.

Carly says she hit a guardrail, not Sam, Jason knows she’s hiding something. Saved by Lulu needing to talk. Lulu wants Carly’s advice on what to do about Logan and Johnny. Carly thinks she should get rid of them both. Lulu talks about her strong feelings for both guys and the two agree that Lulu is in trouble.

Luke and Johnny hang out on the ledge of the hospital. Luke wonders why Johnny needs an adrenaline rush with the life he’s inherited. They wax poetic about fathers and daughters. Luke asks Johnny about his intentions toward Lulu. Johnny doesn’t want her to get hurt because of him. Luke compares Lulu’s survival skills and big heart to her parents and tells Johnny you can’t prevent someone from getting hurt. Johnny says he’s going to stay away from Lulu, and Luke says that will only make him more appealing. Luke also says that if he was going to control Lulu’s love life he would have dropped Logan off the roof a long time ago.

Someone, unseen, gets a beer, we see rope, and a wall with newspaper clippings about the TMK and pictures of the TMK's victims with red a “x” across their faces. However there are some pictures don’t have an “x”: Carly, Maxie, Sam. Oh and there’s a cell phone.

Back at the hospital, Cassius expresses his concern about Epiphany to Elizabeth who agrees to once again try to convince her to go home. Epiphany tries to blow them off when Cassius asks if this is what Stan would have wanted. Epiphany just wants to be left alone.

Mac comes in and asks Robin if Sam is up for some questioning, Robin makes a snide remark and Mac calls her on it; she tries to shrug it off, but Mac wants to know who we’re REALLY talking about and Robin says, “The father of my baby.” And Robin’s baby daddy just heard that. Uh oh. Mac thought it was an anonymous donor, and Robin says that’s what she wanted everyone to think but she’s having a harder time than she thought. Mac thinks she should talk to the guy but Robin says he doesn’t want kids…and Patrick might just be getting a clue.

Closing montage: Epiphany is in the locker room crying over Stan’s ashes, when she starts clutching her chest and falls to the ground. Johnny is looking out lost in thought. Carly tells Lulu that she has to make this decision on her own. Morgan finds Michael’s box with the gun. Jason is in Sam’s room. Lucky walks by the nurses’ stations and Elizabeth says she needs to talk to him about something she’s done.

Next Time:
Patrick questions Robin about the sperm donor. Jason asks Sam what she saw. A guy in the bushes looks at Alexis. Claudia asks Luke what Sonny’s weakness is.
