And January comes to an end in Port Charles--just in time for February sweeps! And from what I can see, it's going to be a doozy!
Here's a snapshot of what happened today: Jason is starting to think that Coop might not have been the Text Message Killer after all, Luke comes back to the Q mansion, just in time to be thrown out on his ear, Lucky finds out from Liz about Sam's paying thugs to harass Liz and Jake in the park last year and how she watched as Jake was kidnapped, and Kate is ready to open up to Jacks about her Bensonhurst past. Did I forget to mention Sonny and how he's getting busy with Sarah Brown already?
The curtain rises at the Q mansion, where it's morning--not too early for Monica to have a drink. Edward tells her that's not the answer--and Luke blows in. Tracy, who's already been thrown out for suing Monica for malpractice, comes back to the mansion to get a few things, sees Luke, and is off to the races.
Lulu gets in on the act--but is told that she can stay, while Tracy and Luke have to go. No dice, she says that if they go, she's going.
Moving on to another Spencer, Lucky is visiting Liz in the hospital and wants to know what Liz knows about Sam and what's she's keeping from him.
Liz finally blurts out what's she's been keeping from him all of these months: that Sam stood by and watched as Jake was kidnapped in the park last summer--and paid those thugs to harass her and the boys to boot.
Lucky goes home and sees Sam waiting for him. He tells her what Liz has told him, which is why he says he wants her out of his life and for her to leave ASAP.
Now it's Kate's turn. She runs into Jacks outside of a Brownstone in Port Charles. After they wax poetic about the joys of Brownstone living, Jacks wonders how Kate could know any of this.
They sit together on the snowy stoop while Kate starts to open up about Bensonhurst, after telling Jacks that he must keep this to himself at all costs. She didn't quite get there, but I'm sure she will soon.
Over at the Coffeehouse, Jason has gotten a visit from Nicholas (and Emily too!), because he wants to know if Jason thinks that he was the killer. While Jason is distracted with Max, Emily has Nick recreate the day she died, which Jason walks in on.
This leads Jason to start thinking that maybe Coop wasn't the killer after all, and the real killer is still out there.
The day ends with Sonny, Sarah Brown and their smoldering chemistry. They're in a hotel bar, where Sonny is drowning his sorrows over Kate, and can't keep from looking at each other. Sonny leaves her his hotel key and at the end of the show, they're starting to get busy, if you get my drift. Wawawoowoo!!!
