General Hospital Update for Friday, 28-Dec-2007

And this is the final update of 2007 for me! I can't believe that it's almost 2008; where did the time go?
It was a normal Friday in Port Charles--filled with lots of happenings. Let's see: Nicholas is back from Zurich and the news isn't good; Jason and Liz are trying to get together; Sonny is trying to fit into the world of Fashionista Kate and Spinelli asks for a real job! Did I mention that Jerry has yet another identity?
We start with Nicholas. As I mentioned, he's back from Zurich after his appointment with the neurologist, and naturally his family and friends want to know what happened.
He covers at first, saying that the doctors weren't able to find anything, but the truth comes out later. It's a brain tumor and the bad news is that it's inoperable.
Alexis tells him that she will call first thing in the morning to get his medical records sent from Zurich to Patrick Drake (see, we KNEW that Patrick was going to get involved in this one) and Sam, Lucky and Lulu also urge him to get a second opinion. I'm sure the real reason he's doing nothing is that he is afraid that if he has the surgery, he would no longer see Emily.
On to Sonny's most excellent adventures in Manhattan. Yes, he's doing everything he can to fit into Kate's world of high-powered fashionistas--and meets his first gay male fashion designer in the form of Julius; who can't stop drooling over him. (You should see what he does with Max!!)
Kate is back at the helm of Couture and is doing everything she can to take the magazine off life support--and this means going to a few A-List parties. And yes, Sonny is going to have to tag along for the ride! Hey, the man takes bullets for a living, right? So how hard can meeting a few fashion designers be?
Now Spinelli. He goes over to Kelly's and asks Mike for a real job there--and for what reason, I have no idea! There are no jobs to be had there, but Spinelli does get to fix the milkshake machine for the umpteenth time.
Jason and Liz are trying to set up a time to meet, but Jason's business keeps getting in the way (he's tracking Johnny Zacarra). They set something up which Jason cancels at the last minute, but promise to meet New Year's Eve.
And speaking of Johnny Z, he takes a meeting with the heads of several crime families in NYC. Trevor tries to coach him but Johnny isn't having any of it--and does just fine demanding respect from the other crime bosses.
All of the leading crime bosses in NYC are there with the exception of Mr. Moreau--who is watching from the outside. He turns around and surprise, it's Jerry!
Now it all comes together: why he's been asking Alexis to help him leave the country and why he refused Jack's offer to go into business with him. And Monday should be good!
