General Hospital Update for Thursday, 20-Dec-2007

It was a day with major happenings in Port Charles--as two former residents returned to deal with Georgie's death. Luke also agreed to have the surgery and Kate has returned to Manhattan, leaving Sonny behind. Almost forgot to say that Michael is acting up again--but that's something for Carly, Sonny and now Jacks to deal with!
We start off at Mac's house, where Maxie is home alone and hears a noise. She takes the poker from the fireplace and hides by the door--just in time to see her mother Felicia walk through it!
The reunion is definately bittersweet, as Maxie is not happy to see Felicia after all of this time.
She's hurt that Felicia was never there for her or Georgie and definately lets her know it. Felicia's explanation is rather lame, as she says that she put Moira in a nursing home and was on a top-secret mission with Frisco, which is why she couldn't contact anyone. Funny, it seems like Anna and Robert always could do it??
Fast forward over to Kelly's, where Lulu has decided to work the morning shift in honor of Georgie. She and Mike also get a visitor: Dylan, who hasn't heard the news yet and has come to take Georgie on a film shoot to Canada.
Mike and Lulu gently break the news to him, and Dylan is devastated. He goes over to Maxie's house to see her and runs into Felicia--who tells him that she has a trunkload of letters from Georgie charting the progress of their relationship.
Afterwards, he's back at Kelly's, where he plays a song on the jukebox and remembers his life with Georgie.
Now on to Kate. Diane has called in favors with the judge and has gotten him to transfer her community service to Manhattan. She even got the judge to say that she could take off the ankle monitor! Nice work!
Kate now has a choice: to resume her life pre-Sonny in Manhattan or to stick it out with Port C's leading mob boss. And naturally, this would mean security and guards, which as we know is something our favorite fashinista is not thrilled about.
She decides to return to Manhattan, and drops by the Coffee house to give Max a note for Sonny. Sonny reads it, but doesn't have anytime to deal with it, as Michael's mess blows up around him...
And Michael? He decides to ditch school that day to go to Dad's office to tell him that he needs to take out whomever the text message killer is--and that when he gets older, he's going to be running the business!
Sonny isn't happy about any of this and tells his oldest son that he wants him to have something that he never had: choices.
Carly shows up at this point playing parent. She's sweet-talked the principal, but is now prepared to deal with Michael. The upshot is that he's grounded for a month with no computer.
Finally, Luke is convinced to have the bypass surgery by Lulu, who visits him at GH. As we remember, the surgery was started, but Monica had a freakout in the OR, seeing Emily there and couldn't finish. So we'll have to wait for that one.
