General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 27-Nov-2007

I know it's just a soap opera, but this fan felt really sad when people dressed in black began to file in for Emily's funeral. I have never seen such sadness on General Hospital. Emily was the epitome of a kind, compassionate, lovely, bright young woman. (I wish her well in her new endeavors.) She will be missed dearly.Nikolas is so furious with himself because he feels guilty about so many issues.One guesses, psychologically speaking, that NIK, Sonny, and Jason will blame themselves unduly for Em's demise.Did Nikolas kill her as he envisioned in his nightmare?OR did the stark raving madman Zacharra strangle EM lifeless? Someone will have to pay for this needless, heinous crime.
It was interesting to see little snippets of time spent between certain characters today.Ned and Dillon showed up,and Dillon spent precious moments chatting with Georgie.She alluded to her new love Spinelli except Spinelli can't see beyond LuLu. LuLu shows up with stepmom Tracy who has just left a very sick,ashen- looking Luke in bed in GH. Naturally, trouble lies ahead for MR. Luke if he doesn't choose to have the much.. needed bypass. Perhaps, he will do this for Lucky and LuLu.
Sonny does go to pay his respect to Monica. She, in her fury, lambasts him for hurting those whom she loved and loves. Sonny tells Kate that, in a sense, he deserved her angry words.IT is so clear that Sonny did love Emily and ,in a sense, owed her his life. She helped him to get treated for depression.
At least Elizabeth and Lucky join each other so they can comfort Nikolas. Why do people get so angry when they lose a loved one? IS this part of the grieving process on General Hospital? Me thinks so.Jason sneaks in to the funeral unseen. A tender moment is when he tells Carly that no matter how crazy she makes him that he loves her.:-)Carly does take Michael and Morgan to visit Monica. Both women may not like each other, but I think they respect each other. Monica has had to contend with losing Alan and now Emily sooooooo. It's a bitter pill to swallow. Reflections are keenly felt as all share their love for an Emily that no one will ever forget.Tune in on Wednesday to get a seat at the funeral where homage will be paid to a bright star.
