General Hospital Update for Thursday, 8-Nov-2007

Halloween's long over, but the night of terror is still going on at Spoon Island. Anthony Zacarra is definately on the premises and he's not afraid to kill at will--while terrorizing Nick and Em's guests in the process.
Lots to tell here and where do we begin? Probably the biggest development (and something that always happens in PC when backs are against the wall) is the "kitchen table" surgery--yep, ala the Metrocourt!
This time, the players are Ric (the patient) and Patrick, who's doing the surgery, assisted by Lelya, Emily and Robin.
Now remember, Zacarra stabbed Ric and pinned him to the wall, where he was found by Alexis. According to Patrick, this severed one of his arteries, making him need an immediate blood transfusion.
The only problem is that Trevor (Ric's father) can't help as he's not the right blood type. The one person who can save him is: you guessed it, Sonny, his half-brother. And Sonny had to be talked into doing it by Kate!
Going back to Alexis, there's drama for her as well, as her appendix decides to flare up. Now this could make Patrick and Robin decide to open a branch of GH at Windemere or work to get Alexis off the island, which is risky due to the storm that's hitting the area.
Alexis decides to risk it and goes with Jacks and Jerry on the Windemere supply ship to the mainland, braving the choppy seas in the process.
Meanwhile, most of the other guests are waiting it out in the ballroom, but there is definite drama going on in other parts of the mansion.
A gunfight starts between Jason (who always rescues everyone in a crisis in PC), Sam and Zacarra's mercenaries--and of course Carly has to get in the middle of it.
Spinelli, Nadine, Liz and Lulu are waiting it out in what looks to be the stables and Lulu is itching to get into the middle of things outside. She insists on going out, and Spinelli whacks her on the back of the head, making her stay in.
Anthony Zacarra has already had a run-in with Carly, who got away--and now he's caught Maxie. And I must say here that nobody does crazy like Bruce Weitz, who's playing Zacarra! I have loved that man since his Hill St. Blues Days...
But back to the action. Zacarra's got Maxie and he decides to have a little fun, telling her that they are going to play Russian Roulette.
Maxie plays along and is also able to get away, whacking him over the head with a vase in the process.
Zacarra next has a run-in with Emily and Nick and gets into a big fight with Nick. Things are looking bleak as he starts strangling Nick with a telephone cord--but Emily is able to get to a gun and pulls it on him! And I'm sure we'll have to wait to see what happens on Friday...
