Halloween is certainly aglow as the lovely maidens and tuxedoed gents of Port Charles dock to attend the elegant Baccachnalia Ball at Wyndemere.The scene is set cleverly by the GH writers, directors, and others to give this Black and White Charity Ball an eerie aura as a prospective storm arises.
Prior to the Ball, Nikolas is seen lying on the floor in a bloodied state. As he looks at a white mask, he realizes that it's Emily's,and he lets out a piercing scream.Has he done something harmful to his beloved?He seems somewhat unsure. This scenario takes place about 11 hours after the dance.Flashback... to Wyndemere earlier where a happy, but emotional Nik asks Emily to marry him.She accepts his offer. To introduce the gala, Nikolas announces their engagement, plus the endowment he is making to General Hospital in memory of Dr. Alan Quartermaine. Nik and a dazzling Em start the dancing with a lovely waltz as others follow. It is a grand evening full of surprises.
One knows that Anthony Zacchara, the mad man, is lurking on the grounds, his son Johnny is a masked intruder, and Carly waits to see who this mysterious texter is.Peril may lie ahead for this Nancy Drew.
Elizabeth is standing alone on the terrace or somewhere when Lucky appears. She and He reminisce about how much they loved each other at the last Wyndemere BALL. Lucky asks: "Elizabeth Webber, will you have this dance with me?" Of course, the jealous Sam is spying. When Lucky walks away, Sam faces Liz. What ensues is a hateful spew of words, and then, they start pulling each other's hair. Lucky arrives in time to break up this cat fight. Lovely women in georgeous black and white dresses seem to be staring into space and pre-occupied in some instances.Alex is with Jerry, Patrick is with Leyla, LuLu is with Logan, Spinelli is with his nurse friend, and Robin and Maxie appear to be alone. Of course,a masked Johnny asks Maxie to join him.
The comical part occurs when Scott thinks that Luke hit him over the head and took his invitation. Of course, it was the sly Johnny who did this.There is ,to say the least, a strange group at this elite affair.There is mystery in the air among the partygoers,and the omen of something to come ends the soiree. For Anthony Zacchara is seen, apparently, crushing the launching pad with a pipe to keep the guests on this isle. One wonders if anyone really had a good time since there is such a sinister feeling among those attending. The truth is they may be trapped at Wyndemere. Tune in tomorrow to see what evil prevails....
