General Hospital Update for Friday, 7-Sep-2007

Summer's officially over in Port Charles, and of course, a new mob war is simmering. New York City crime boss Anthony Zacarra is coming to town, and Sonny is already taking steps to make sure that his loved ones are protected. But is it too late?
Ric and Alexis also might reunite to fight Trevor and true love might actually come to Spinelli. Did I forget that Sam also fired Lucky as her bodyguard? Busy day!
We start off with Sonny and his brewing fight against rival mobster Zacarra. He's warning everyone close to him about the impending danger and most are listening--except Carly and Jacks. Turning down Sonny's offer to move back in with him, Jacks decides to bring his family to the Metrocourt temporarily, saying that he doesn't need Sonny to tell him how to protect his family.
Sonny's not buying it and takes the boys back to his house, sending Jason over to convince Carly. Jason takes Carly back to her house to pack, and Carly's horrified to discover Leticia's body on the floor! She had stayed behind to pack for the boys.
Meanwhile, Jacks has decided to take a meeting with Zacarra on his own, despite Sonny and Jason's protests that he can't deal with a mobster like him. He's walking to the meeting and unlocks his car in an alleyway--but before he can get in, the car explodes. Sounds like the war's starting...
And before this goes on, we see Trevor Lansing on the phone, saying that things are proceeding without any problems.
Speaking of Trevor, he's already threatened Ric with filing for emergency custody of Molly if he doesn't get Sonny to back off.
Knowing that Trevor is in a position to get what he wants, Ric enlists Alexis to help, saying that it's time that Molly lived with her mother. Trevor comes over to Ric's house while Alexis is there and proceeds to try and charm her by reminding her what a loser Ric is.
After Trevor leaves, Ric and Alexis talk about his threat--and I bet they do reunite to fight for their daughter.
On to Spinelli. It looks like he could have a girlfriend, in the form of Georgie!! She's building him up, telling him that he's not wierd, just different and he's cooler than some of the most macho guys in Port Charles. She even goes to see him at Jason's apartment and runs into his room with him! Sweet.......
Finally, Sam. She goes over to Lucky's house, telling him about the brewing mob war and explaining that she could also be a target, due to her past relationship with Jason--but Lucky needs to protect his family first and not worry about her. As a result, she's firing him as her bodyguard.
Liz thinks it's all a part of a bigger manipulation and isn't buying it. She ordered Sam out of her home and talked to Lucky about rebuilding their marriage. Interesting.....
