General Hospital Update for Friday, 10-Aug-2007

Jason's trial is moving towards its climax, Kate is afraid of her growing attraction to Sonny and Liz is trying to do damage control. And did I mention that Spinelli also spilled the beans about Carly's latest caper? Here we go!
We start off at Jason's trial. Donald Mancini, gardner for Alcazar and several other residents on that street is on the stand with potentially devastating testimony: he claims that he saw Jason remove Alcazar's body from his home, and "throw it into an SUV like garbage."
Diane calls for a recess when Jason tells her that he's lying; because Jason killed his brother for dealing drugs to little kids. Diane rips into him on the stand after that, but the damage has been done with the jury.
Meanwhile, Carly is on her latest escapade with Jerry Jacks--in Venezula, to boot. They've gone there to look for evidence that proves that Alcazar is alive. As usual, things run amok with Carly.
After they visit a local bank to try and access his funds and were denied, a gunman working for Alcazar storms their hotel room, being fatally stabbed by Jerry in the neck with a pen, things do get worse.
The cops have no sooner removed the hitman's body when the bank manager visits, saying that something's up, he smells a rat and he's going to notify the authorities.
Jerry saves the day and proceeds to get Alcazar on the phone--who convinces the bank manager to release the funds and even talks to Carly! And is she ever ticked off at Jerry now!
The bank manager leaves, and Jerry tells Carly that no, it's not really Alcazar, but a hired associate, who has dubbed his voice perfectly on the phone--so Alcazar is still dead, not to worry. He also sends evidence to Port C via the internet showing that Alcazar is still alive, and it gets to Diane in the courtroom.
And meanwhile, info on these doings are dragged out of Spinelli by Sonny, no less, who proceeds to tell Max about it. Spinelli also gets to Jason in the courtroom to let him know.
On to Kate and Sonny. She's on the mend in the hospital, ordering the staff around and is discharged quickly. Seems she was the victim of a snakebite which happened while she was pulling Morgan from the pool.
Sonny brings her back to his house, and Kate realizes that she is falling in love with him and she's scared. She's afraid that Connie Falconeri, the person she used to be, is resurfacing and Kate Howard will be no more if she hooks up with PC's favorite mobster.
She tells Sonny that she's selling her home immediately and is going back to New York City. For some reason, she's packing up at the Metrocourt, where Sonny goes to try and talk some sense into her, when Mac shows up to arrest her! And for what, we'll have to wait and find out!
And finally, Liz. Lucky is totally on to her now and knows that there is something between her and Jason. Liz had returned from her second day of testimony and saw Sam in her home holding Jake while Lucky was playing with Cameron and was not happy about it.
So she went to Alexis at Kelly's, asking if there was a way she could tell her daughter to stay away. Alexis is trying to be objective, but it's hard--but did talk to Sam about it. I really don't know how successful she was, but we'll see.
And let's not forget Lulu's birthday--and her growing relationship with Logan! It was Lulu's 19th birthday this week, which was observed by everyone at the Q mansion with a birthday cupcake. And of course, there are ALWAYS ulterior motives with that clan, as I don't have to remind you...
Logan also had a big celebration planned at his apartment for her. The couple walked in to a place filled with birthday balloons, and Lulu was touched, knowing that they were all for her. One thing led to another and soon things were moving too fast for Lulu, who put the breaks on with a screaching halt.
I think Logan's feelings for Lulu are genuine, but hormones won out--and since Maxie conveniently showed up after Lulu left and is a skanky ho, well, put two and two together, OK??? And poor Coop walked in on it!!!! Have to wait till Monday!!!
