General Hospital Update for Friday, 6-Jul-2007

Happy July! Hope your 4th was a good one! And it was business as usual in Port Charles today. Let's see, Tracy broke out of Shadybrook, Dylan decided to take a great job offer, Noah's double checked into GH and Sonny confronted Sam. And that's just the beginning!
The big news today was that Dylan finally decided to follow his heart and accept Ned's offer to be a director's assistant on a major movie. The older members of the Quartermaine clan weren't for it, especially Edward and Tracy--who broke out of Shadybrook in her Laura wig to try and convince her son to stay.
The younger set was all for it; especially Lulu, who told him that she was seeing Logan (a lie) in a effort to push him away and force him to do it. They shared a tearful goodbye, which was very sweet and touching.
Now Dylan's life is looking up, and Sam's is definately looking down. As we all know, Jason is stashed away in Pentonville Prison, and can't have visitors, which isn't good for Sam. But another truth has come to light about Jake Spencer's kidnapping: that Sam witnessed the act and didn't come forward.
And Amelia is only too willing to spread this all over Port Charles--even going to Sonny with the information.
Sam, who has finished drowning her sorrows at the Metrocourt Bar (AGAIN!!) is summoned to Sonny's house, where he confronts her with the news, and tells her that he knows she's lying to boot. Not good for Sweet Sam!
On to GH. 80's rocker Eli Love has checked in with an embolism. Pretty routine case for GH'ers--except he is a dead ringer for Dr. Noah Drake! (Rick Springfield FINALLY gets a chance to shine in his own storyline doing both parts.)
Noah is miffed when he finds out he can't operate, and of course Patrick assigns himself to the case, citing ethics. (Operating on your double--is that kosher?)
The only other things that happened today were that Kate decided to take her house off the market and stay awhile and Ric is checking out Logan.
He found out that Logan got a Dishonorable Discharge out of the Army, which I'm sure we'll hear more about on Monday. So stay tuned!
