General Hospital Update for Friday, 22-Jun-2007

If today's episode is any indication, it's turning out to be a challenging summer for GH's couples. Lucky and Liz got their hopes up over possibly finding Jake, Jacks left to go find Jerry (followed by Carly, which he doesn't know yet!) and Sam and Jason's relationship is growing increasingly strained over his new fatherhood.
Things start off with the search for Jake Spencer--and the PCPD has no leads. Liz decides to turn to Jason for comfort, as always--and Lucky is starting to wonder why his wife is always with Jason at the station.
But the news gets better, or so everyone thinks at the PCPD. There's a report that a baby was found at the doorstep of a daycare center and everyone thinks it's Jake. The baby is brought to the station and it's not--and Lucky and Liz are in the lowest of lows.
Ric is also looking for clues, and isn't missing an opportunity to tie anything to Sam--so he comes to the Everyday Heroes set looking for her.
Amelia gives him an alibi for her, saying she was on the set when the abduction happened. Turns out Sam was out drowning her sorrows and proceeds to visit all of the key players in the process; spilling no secrets I might add.
Sam did also go see Jason at the PCPD and Jason wouldn't have anything to do with her, due to the fact that her breath smelled like a brewery.
Meanwhile, Jacks and Carly. Back from a successful hotel-buying trip in Montreal (where they also tested out the sheets, I'm sure...), everything's rosy with them. Carly's even talking about buying a summer house where the boys could split their time between them and Sonny's when the phone rings. It's Jerry--and Jacks tells Carly that once again, he needs to go find his brother.
Carly's having none of it this time and points out that now she, Morgan and Michael are his family. Jacks gently tells her that he still has to go and leaves--not realizing that Carly's going to follow!
His first stop is a sleazy bar, ala Jake's, where he bribes the bartender to give him information on any Jerry sightings. The bartender takes his cash and promptly pulls a gun on him, so this can't be good...
Kate also tells Sonny that she would appreciate it if he would hook up with someone in a hurry, so the heat would be off her in the tabloids. Sonny says that if she thinks that's bad, what would happen if they uncovered her true identity: Connie Falconeri from Bensonhurst! He does have a point.
Today's cliffhanger? Sam finds Amelia's file on her and discovers all of the pictures of her with her different husbands. The sparks are going to fly on Monday, for sure!
