General Hospital Update for Friday, 4-May-2007

What a way to end the week! It's a dark and stormy night--and Nicholas codes and Liz has her baby! Oh, and did I mention that Skye knows that Lorenzo is on to her, Jerry meets Jacks' new stepsons and Sam is off to tape her latest Everyday Heroes segment?
We start off with Nicholas and his increasingly grim prognosis. He is now an inpatient at GH and things aren't looking good for him. Patrick and Robin are frantically trying to find a counteragent for the poison and are having no luck.
Nick asks to see Spencer one more time and Emily brings his son to him in bed. Nick holds him close, despite now being on oxygen and flatlines. Patrick and Robin start CPR on him, in front of a distraught Emily.
On to Jerry Jacks. After spending time with Jane and the boys (who have no clue of his new identity and his connection to the Metrocourt crisis), Jerry hits the road.
Driving through the rain, he calls GH from his car to check on Nicholas' condition (maybe he will come through with the counteragent, like Patrick thought he would). As he's on the phone, he's pulled over by none other than Officer Lucky Spencer! (who has no clue about the drama he's going to be involved in soon!).
Now to the big story of the day--Liz and the birth of her baby. She's sleeping at home while Lucky works the night shift (I have no idea where Cameron is), wakes up and discovers that she's bleeding, along with having killer contractions. After trying the landline (it's dead) and not being able to find her cell phone, she grabs her keys and tries to drive herself to the hospital, but doesn't make it; collapsing at the door.
Now for some ungodly reason, Jason chooses to make an appearance at her home at that moment, in the middle of the night, finds her collapsed in a heap and throws her into his car.
Once they get to GH, Liz is prepped for an emergency C-Section. It's also dicey for her and the baby--and noone's thought to tell Lucky!The baby is born, and we can't tell what its sex is, all as a worried Jason watches through the OR window.
Things aren't going well at the Alcazar home either. Lorenzo has had the home bugged and has had Skye's conversation with Ric taped--which if we recall, had her promising to help Ric go after Alkie.
He plays the tape for Skye, and she now realizes that she's been had. Alkazar knows everything. She goes to check on Lila Rae--and is panicked to discover her daughter missing! Lorenzo explains that she's in a safe location--and Skye has to do what he wants before she sees her again.
Finally, Sam. Amelia got Sonny to lift the injunction against Everyday Heroes and goes to Sam's place to tell her to get packed-they're going on the shoot after all. Sam hems and haws, and finally decides to go, after much coaxing by Amelia. (She probably didn't want to fly in that monsoon!!)
It's only going to get better when Lucky finally realizes what's happened--and hopefully Cameron is safe somewhere! Stay tuned!
