General Hospital Update for Friday, 19-Aug-2005

While Sam is with Andrew, Jason grabs Allegra and tells the guard that they better tell him where Sam is. If anything happens to Sam, he tells them he will snap Allegra’s neck.

Meanwhile, Sam is with Andrew, trying to persuade him not to go through with the wedding.

Back in Port Charles, Carly just suddenly barges into Sonny’s home. He asks her why she is there. She tells him she is planning a picnic with them and Michael and Morgan. She tells him now that she’s done with Lorenzo and Reese is out of his life, they can all be a family together. He asks her if she is out of her mind. He tells her that she cannot get Michael’s hopes up. He knows it’s just because Alcazar dumped her that she’s doing this. And he doesn’t buy her sudden need for family bonding. He tells her he cares about her but “this” ain’t happening. Hearing that, she angrily tells him that he is not invited to her picnic with her kids. She’ll just get Michael and Morgan and go without him. But he tells her she will not get them involved in her sick behavior. Right then, Michael enters and asks them why they are yelling at each other. Carly appears “happy” to her son and asks him to make the decision. Does he want to go on a picnic with his mom and little brother? She goes on and on trying to “sell” this picnic to Michael. There will be amusement, his favorite rock band, all this great stuff. But Michael is not as excited as his mom wants him to think she is. He asks her if she is ok. And knowing what she is up to, Michael tells his mom no, he doesn’t want to go anywhere with her. When he leaves, she demands to know what Sonny has been telling him. Sonny tells her that their son is not blind. He knows she’s out of control. She leaves very angrily.

While Emily and Jax are on the flight back from the Bahamas, they are both very upset at their respective spouses. He informs her that he is going to divorce Courtney. She’s a little surprised to hear him say that. Kind of sudden to just be giving up so soon after they just got married. Also, that will make Courtney MORE available to HER (Emily’s) husband. And she knows that her FRIENDS, Elizabeth and Lucky are going to have a BABY for Courtney and Jax. She makes a comment to him about his sounding like it’s “corporate warfare”. But he tells her that his wife slept with another man. She did not come to him when she has problems. She came to Nikolas. He also knows that he made a mistake to assume Courtney was over Jason when they first got together.

Back at the Bahamas, once again, Courtney and Nikolas admit that they made a mistake. But they both agree that it’s too late and there’s no point in beating themselves up over what has already happened. They are ready to GET IT ON. But Courtney stops and tells Nikolas that she still loves Jax. She says it but she DON’T sound HAPPY. He confirms that he still loves Emily and it wouldn’t be “right” to cross the line. But he’s NO happier than she is to admit that he is married to another.

At the hospital, Skye finds Lorenzo and tells him she is not going to be “used” as a substitute just because he’s divorcing Carly. He tells her that he is truly sorry for the way he came across to her in their last conversation. And he reveals to her that he DID have an intent for inviting her to his home the other day. He wants to make her the president of the charitable endowment. She tells him that she is a little concerned that Lorenzo is “devastated” to be breaking up with Carly. And she tells him that if he is just offering her this position, in order to get back at Carly, she does not want it. But he tells her it’s not because of that. He and Carly need a clean break, which will not happen if they work together. He believes she is more qualified for the position than Carly. Also she is a Quartermaine. And so she should have this position.

When Sam hesitates to marry Andrew, he tells her, believing she is Alicia, that she must take a leap of faith, not let her mother manipulate her, and marry him tonight. She then agrees. They invite the priest. And Andrew recites his wedding vows to “Alicia”. Sam faces him but does not look happy. The priest asks “Alicia” to say her vows. Sam then tells Andrew she is sorry but she cannot go through with this.

After Jason struggles with Allegra and the guards, she finally tells Jason that Sam is marrying Andrew as they speak. Hearing that, Jason falls over and looks like he’s passed out. Dante goes to see what has happened to Jason. But Allegra asks him to be careful because Jason might be faking it. When it looks like Jason will not move or speak, Allegra comes up to him and tells him he’s made her “job” so much easier. Right then, he grabs her arms.

Right then, Sam recites her marriage vows. But she sees JASON in front of her, instead of Andrew. She gives her heartfelt speech to JASON, while crying, about how she will give her life to HIM and how HE means everything to her. Right then, the priest pronounces them husband and wife. Hearing and sensing what was Sam’s love for JASON, Andrew tells her he was SURPRISED to hear such heartfelt vows from her. HE would not expect ALICIA to LOVE HIM the way SAM LOVES JASON. Andrew then asks her to dance and puts on the music for the waltz.

Jason somehow knows what has happened and it has caused him to shut down.

Emily tells Elizabeth that she and Nikolas are THROUGH. Elizabeth encourages Emily not to give up on her marriage. But she can see that Emily is NOT following what she is saying and VERY ready to end it with Nikolas.

At the Bahamas, Courtney packs up and gets ready to leave. Nikolas seems to “intellectually” realize that they have to leave each other alone from now on and both work on their respective marriages. But it’s obvious that NEITHER of them wants to do that

Right then, Jax goes to confront LUCKY about his BROTHER’S behavior. He goes on about how “kind” he’s been to find this apartment for Lucky and Elizabeth. He tells Lucky that Nikolas “lured” Courtney to the Bahamas to seduce her. But Lucky tells Jax that if he (Jax) had been any kind of husband to Courtney, she would NOT have considered Nikolas. He tells Jax that he needs to accept responsibility for failing his own marriage instead of making Nikolas the scapegoat. He must realize that Courtney has been in agony about the surrogacy. But all Jax has been doing is fawning over Elizabeth. Right then, Elizabeth enters and asks them what is going on. Lucky tells Jax that his brother would never cheat on his marriage vows. Elizabeth says she agrees and tells Jax that she and Lucky know Nikolas a lot better than he does.

And wouldn’t you know, RIGHT when Courtney and Nikolas are ready to GET OUT of the Bahamas, their FLIGHT has been cancelled.

When Carly finds out that Lorenzo “sold her out” and gave her job to Skye, she goes to cause a scene with him at the hospital. But he doesn’t care to hear what she has to say and neither does anybody else. She rants and raves and verbally abuses him until he pushes her to the elevator and demands that she gets out of his life and leaves him alone. But she does not stop. She whines and bitches and moans like a little baby, telling him how he’s taken everything from her and BOO HOO HOO…

Sonny tells Ric that he’d like him to represent him. But under one condition; he doesn’t want Ric to be in partnership with Reese. Ric tells his brother he’d like VERY MUCH to represent him. But he AIN’T gonna end his law partnership with Reese. He also tells Sonny that he does not believe that Reese did anything wrong and Sonny is an idiot to kick her to the curb.
Jason is emotionally and physically devastated to find out that Sam married Andrew.

Right then Andrew wants to “consummate” the marriage. But Sam can’t do that.

Emily goes to Sonny’s looking for Jason. He tells her that Jason and Sam are on their cruise. But he asks her to talk to him, noticing she is very upset. She tells him that Nikolas is having an affair. She tells him that Elizabeth and her mother want her to stay with Nikolas. Jax wants her to cut her losses. And she needs to talk to somebody objective. But when Sonny hears her talk about Jax, he asks why she discussed it with him. Right then, he is able to FIGURE OUT that Nikolas’s “other woman” is non other than his sister, he immediately sees this as “his war”. He tells her he is very sorry she has had to suffer this indignity and that from now on this will be in “his hands”.

Lucky and Elizabeth tell Jax that he needs to pull his head out of his butt with Courtney. But he won’t do it and tells them he is through with his marriage. Hearing that, Elizabeth tells him if he divorces Courtney, she cannot let them adopt her baby. OF COURSE, Mr. ARROGANCE tells them he will raise the baby WITHOUT Courtney. But Elizabeth tells him she will not let him do that. Her baby needs a mother.
