After falling asleep on Jax and Courtney’s couch, Elizabeth is having a dream about giving birth and holding her baby. But she notices Courtney standing by her also wanting to hold the baby. Courtney holds the baby. Jack is also there and ready to take them both home. And Elizabeth is not ok with that in her dream. Right then, she awakens. At that point, Jax and Courtney rush out to make sure she is ok. They’ve heard her scream. Jax asks her what happened. She assures them she is ok. She tells them she had a dream. They ask her what about. She admits that she was in the hospital. But she knows she cannot tell them anything more. Jax takes her hand.

At the hospital, Dr. Thomas has apparently taken Jason somewhere where nobody can find him and is ready to inject him with the lethal potion. But right at that moment, Jason comes to and grabs his hand. He tells Dr. Thomas he knows he tried to kill him all those years ago. Dr. Thomas admits that and tells him this time he will succeed. They struggle. Jason knocks Dr. Thomas over and manages to get out of his hospital bed to wrestle with him.

Elizabeth admits to Jax and Courtney that in her dream she held her baby and it was perfect. Courtney asked if the baby was a boy or girl in her dream. She does not want to answer that. And she goes off and tells them she needs to get some food and she will be ok. Alone with Jax, Courtney asks him if he thinks she’s lying. He says perhaps she dreamt that she “lost” the baby. They both think about what that would mean. Whether it’s loss by miscarriage or by Elizabeth’s choice, along with Lucky’s (which could happen if he marries her) to prevent them from having the baby.

Skye tells Lorenzo that she is pregnant by Luke. She might just be telling him that in order to motivate him to find Luke. Lorenzo admits that many of his contacts that are out of the country are dying. It might be very difficult to find Luke wherever he’s gone. He tells her he could take her to see Luke. But it’s a very treacherous journey to get there. It might put their lives in danger. He kind of worries her. But then he turns his head and laughs. She then tells him she knows he’s making all that up to scare her and he thinks it’s real funny. He tells her that he knows she’s making up her story. She is no more pregnant than he is.

At the hospital, when Durant notices that Carly wants to go and help Jason, he tells her that Sonny stole her life. He’s a criminal. She just doesn’t seem to understand that. And he just wants to get it back for her. But she tells him that Dr. Thomas may be trying to murder her best friend. And if anything happens to Jason, she will hold her father personally responsible. She calls him daddy and tells him he must make no mistake in realizing she is very much like he is.

Right when Jason is struggling with Dr. Thomas, Sam enters. Instantly, Dr. Thomas grabs Sam and tells Jason if he makes one move, she dies. Jason urges Sam not to fight Dr. Thomas. Dr. Thomas explains to them that all those years ago, AJ begged him to put Jason out of his misery. But Dr. Alan Quartermaine revived him. And that was a big mistake. Jason then asks him why he murdered AJ. Dr. Thomas admits that AJ asked him to help him with an insanity plea when he got in trouble. But when he refused AJ’s request, AJ threatened to get him charged for attempted murder of Jason. Jason tells Dr. Thomas he knows he killed Rachel. He admits to that. Right then, Sonny enters with a gun and tells Dr. Thomas he better give it up. Dr. Thomas attempts to move Sam out the door and tells the two men they better not mess with him or she will die.

Lorenzo tells Skye he knows she cannot have children because of a car accident she had. He also tells her it’s amazing how she will put her life on the line and risk everything all for the love of Luke Spencer. She admits that it’s sad and she wishes she could just let Luke stay gone all the times he goes away. He admits to her that he knows the feeling all too well. But she tells him that he and Carly are married and happy. And they wake up together every morning and can share their lives together. She tells him it must be wonderful. He tells her she has no idea, sounding sarcastic. She then tells him she’s sorry to bother him and leaves. Right then, Lorenzo gets on the phone in an attempt to reach Carly but he only gets her voice mail message. He then gets on the Internet to access a map. He then shuts it down, looking discouraged and goes out the door. That dude is CRAFTY! NO doubt about that!! And COULDN’T a SEXY THING like him do better than the likes of CARLY??!!

Durant looks at Carly’s cell phone and notices Lorenzo is calling her and not getting through. He reminds her that “hubby number 2” can never compete with Sonny for her. She tells him that she has to stay there and help Jason knowing that Dr. Thomas tried to kill him, succeeded in killing AJ and then killed Dr. Rachel Adair in order to cover his tracks. At that point, Durant tells Carly she may go. Right then, he makes a call, probably to the police department asking for “help” but asking that Lucky Spencer knows nothing about this.

Elizabeth goes to Kelly’s. Mike asks if she is ok. She tells him that she and Lucky have worked things out and the surrogacy is working out. HE tells her great. His “princess” (Courtney) wants and deserves a baby. And he tells Elizabeth that he really admires her for what she is doing for his daughter. Right then, Lucky appears. Elizabeth runs and hugs him. She is ready to tell him the truth about the dream she had.

After Elizabeth has gone to see Lucky, Jax tells Courtney he hopes she’s ok. Courtney says it makes sense that Elizabeth would be having nightmares, after getting pregnant, with Lucky moving out and then her apartments getting burned. But they still wonder what her nightmare was really about.

At Kelly’s, Elizabeth tells Lucky all about her dream. She had a girl. And she changed her mind. He asks if she really has. She admits to him that she lost her first baby. And she knows so has Courtney. She feels good about giving Courtney another chance to have a baby. But she asks how is she supposed to say goodbye to this baby.

Lorenzo manages to find Carly in the hospital. He admits that he was able to track her down by punching a code into the computer in order to find her. Hearing that, she says how dare he.

Right then, Dr. Thomas has locked Sam in a rubber room. She tells him she knows he is scared. She tells him she knows he was hoping to be out of the country by now or that Jason would be dead. She tells him he should know that Jason is more dangerous than Sonny is if he messes with him. He asks her if she’s trying to get him to give himself up. She says no. She’s trying to help him get out of there.

Elizabeth remembers when she and Courtney were waitresses working together. She tells Lucky it’s so amazing that their lives have changed. And she remembers that she used to have a relationship with Jason. But Courtney got the guy. But in the process, Courtney lost her ability to have children. And she knows that the “morally correct” thing for her to do for Courtney is to honor the surrogacy contract. He asks her if she sees this baby as Courtney’s. She tells him she tries to. That makes it easier. But she admits that after this dream, if everything goes as planned, then Courtney gets to take the baby home. And she and Lucky get married and have a baby girl of their own. But then, one Christmas, she will run into that little girl. Will she be ok to have given Courtney and Jax that gift? Or will she have an empty void for the rest of her life for giving her up? Will Courtney and Jax wave to her when she sees their baby? And will the baby ever know that she gave birth to her? He tells her that nothing has to be decided tonight. He tells her that in order to avoid stress, she can think of something happy. She tells him that all she needs is him.

At the hospital, after finding out about Lorenzo’s drastic measure to find her, Carly tells him that she refuses to be treated like a dangerous criminal. She tells him she must be there for Jason. He tells her that Jason has Sam and Sonny and doesn’t need her. He tells her he’s done everything for her and given her the perfect life. He admires her loyalty. But this has gone too far. She tells him she cannot abandon Jason. And he doesn’t have to understand that. But if he cannot, then he must just get out of her way. And she runs off.

Sam talks to Dr. Thomas. She tells him she knows he’s a good doctor and saves lives. And Jason will not hurt him if he lets her go. He can disappear far away from here. She tells him it’s not the best plan but it’s his best shot. He almost appears to trust her and hand over the injection needle. But right when she reaches for it, he grabs it and laughs and says what kind of a fool does she take him for.

Carly makes a call to Jason’s room and informs him that there is a cop outside his door. He tells her that Dr. Thomas is still in the building.

Right then, Reese finds Monica Quartermaine and informs her that Dr. Thomas intends to kill Jason. She asks Monica if she might know where Dr. Thomas went. Monica says she has codes. Reese tells her she must get out of the building because she might be the next target for Dr. Thomas. Monica lets Reese have access to the computer. She believes she can find Dr. Thomas. Carly then finds a way to get the cop to leave Jason’s room by telling him she saw Dr. Thomas.

Dr. Thomas has plans to take Sam somewhere. She asks where. He says New York City. She tells him he may not get away with that. He grabs her and is ready to inject her. But right then, Reese pulls a gun on him and tells him he must freeze.

Jax asks Courtney if she still wants what they’d planned on if the “procedure” had not taken. Does she still want them to focus primarily upon each other? They agree not to tell Elizabeth about their suspicions. They then remember that they did not give Elizabeth a key and that would mean she’d have to pound on the door in order to get in.

Lucky asks Elizabeth if she wants to spend the night with him. She says she cannot leave Cameron with Courtney and Jax. But she can stay for a little while. Mike leaves and asks them to close the place when they leave. Right then, Skye is attempting to get in but not able to.

Durant tells Carly she is obstructing a criminal investigation to let Sonny and Jason get away with what they are doing. She tells him she knows that Dr. Thomas has kidnapped Sam. He tells her there’s no proof of that. She tells him he must do his job and arrest Dr. Thomas and rescue Sam. He then instructs the uniform cop nearby to have a search party by the Elm St. pier.

Reese tells Dr. Thomas she will not hesitate to shoot him. But he is holding a needle right at Sam’s throat and tells Reese he will inject her before she’s had a chance to shoot him. He tells her she must put the gun down. She lowers it. Sonny calls Reese, while Jason and Carly are standing by him.

Lucky and Elizabeth are in his bed and he tells her that a home is where you live with people you love. He asks her to close her eyes and see their apartment with cracks in the ceiling and creeks when it rains and traffic outside. She remembers how happy they were. He tells her that no fire will ever destroy that feeling and sense of home. He tells her they’ve always had it with them no matter where they are.

Skye admits to Lorenzo that she sees nothing romantic about that boat house despite what she’s told and shown Luke. In fact it gives her the creeps. He tells her he really understands that she is not losing her touch. She asks him where Luke is. He tells her he really doesn’t know off hand. He just knows that Luke will be gone for a while. But perhaps he can create a diversion.

Carly is able to notice Reese locked in the rubber room. The sicko has apparently put her in a straight jacket. At first, Carly looks like she wants to walk on by and not help Reese. But she runs in and gets her out of the straight jacket. Jason runs up and down the stairs and finds Dr. Thomas when he’s got Sam. He shoots at him. But he finds he’s locked outside the door. He tries to kick it down. Sonny then comes and helps him. But it’s too late. That sicko has already injected Sam and she’s fallen to the ground. Jason finally gets the door open and runs to Sam. But sicko doctor looks to be ready to escape.
