General Hospital Update for Friday, 15-Oct-2004

As usual, General Hospital's writers give us shocking truths to ponder. Will Carly and her dad live? Alcazar has hired a good looking hit woman,with whom John Durant spent a cozy night, to assassinate Durant. Did John Durant know that he was "sleeping with the enemy"? If not, he should know now. As the press conference begins, Sonny is babysitting with Michael whose hand has been injured.When Sonny turns on his tv, Michael and he see a startled Carly called by Durant, her so-called- father, to the microphone. A reluctant Carly joins her dad. As he hugs Carly, the treacherous assassin aims,shoots, and both Carly and her dad fall in slow motion. Jason rushes to her, Alcazar looks afraid, and Sonny covers their little boy's eyes.Will this episode lead to their renewal or demise?IN the meantime, Heather finds Luke in the Quartermaine's attic. One surmises that Laura is rocking, but Luke does not discover her. Heather appears quite nervous. Luke tries to convince this conniving scam artist that Skye is not with him. When he departs with his loot, Heather tells Laura that they must "get rid of this red- headed witch".LAter, when Heather spies Dillon with the bag of loot, she follows him to Skye and Luke's hideout.Poor Alexis is waiting for the doc's report on lovely, little Kristina. Dr. Webber, who is assisting, is pessimistic about the findings of the tests. Ric tries to console Alexis who keeps telling herself that her baby girl is ok. Michael shows his anxiety as he asks Sonny: "Why do people get sick?" This little Michael is sympathetic , isn't he?( he is a natural actor) Finally, Nik and a very sick Emily find the magic garden in Greece. He kisses her and everything comes "alive with light". Hopefully, this has enabled her to release the curse or whatever. Now, let's move on ,please... Enough of this "CURSE STUFF".Jason tells Durant if he tries to pin something on Courtney that he will kill him. An almost comical line is when an angry, stoic Jason asks Sonny:"Can I kill him now?"Please remember to tune in on Monday to put this puzzle together. Only true GH fans can do this.
