General Hospital Update for Friday, 13-Aug-2004

Ric warns Justus to be careful because Justus may have a conflict of interest with Faith's case, and if an aquittal is made it can be overturned on an appeal. Justus also agrees and tells Faith he would like to find her a new attorney but Faith begs him not to, and kisses him. Faith is moved from isolation and into sharing a cell with another woman whom she warns to stay out of her way. From behind bars, Faith taunts Ric by letting him know Sonny will always be better than him. Jax tells Courtney about an extended business trip he must take to Singapore and will not return until November. He offers to bring Courtney along, she refuses and he offers her the money from their bet but she refuses that as well. He also thanks her for making him care again and tells her he will miss her. Courtney asks Jax to stay.
Carly takes Morgan to the doctor for a routine check-up and runs into Sam. Carly lets Sam know that Jason is HER best friend and not Sam's. Dr. Meadows asks for the medical records of her baby's father which angers Carly at Sam's offer to speak to Sonny about it. Sonny angrily asks Justus why he is representing the woman that tried to kill him twice.He tells him that he blames himself for the death of the man she loved. He also feels guilty for taking advantage of her when she was most vunerable and sleeping with her. Sonny gives Justus an ultimatum: either stop being Faith's attorney or he will no longer be Sonny's attorney. Justus chooses to stop being Sonny's. Sonny goes to see Faith and finds her clutching a bleeding stomach. Alexis shows up with a court order to let Emily see Nikolas and threatens to slam Dr. Grimes with a malpractice suit. Emily speaks to a very weary and drugged Nikolas and he yells at her for taking her to the Cassadine home and not telling her that he was Nikolas. He accuses her of sleeping with his brother and she tells him they only kissed. She tries to get him to understand that she loves him and wants him out of Shadybrook. Carly asks about who her father is and her mother tells her she has no idea and tells her to drop it. Emily begs Jason to get Nikolas out of Shadybrook and he agrees to bring him to her.
