General Hospital Recap
Monday, June 28, 2004
Recap by: Jefferson01
"Connor" and Mary
Today, Connor and Mary continue their same old song and dance as Connor wants to know the secret that Mary is protecting from him. Connor still doesn't understand why he can "speak Spanish and translate Greek" along with all of the other things that he remembers that he can't place in his past.
Mary gets Connor to back off a little by telling him that he's "not happy with their life together." There's a real shocker. Thanks for clueing him in Mary. Then Mary brings up the suggestion that "maybe we should have a baby." Pardon me, but I just threw-up a little in my mouth. Mary then gets the quote of the day award by saying "I want your babies. Do you want mine?" At that point, my vomit can no longer contain the confides of my mouth.
That evening a shirtless (hee, hee) Connor dreams of Mary when she was in the hospital. She is then replaced by Emily in the dream and Connor, still asleep, blurts out her name ("Emily") while Mary overhears.
The "Crazed Ice-Pick Killer of Port Charles"
First, I would like to welcome back to Port Charles Heather Grant Weber. Oh, how I have missed you Robin Mattson. From Heather to Gina on Santa Barbara to "Janet From Another Planet" on All My Children, I have missed you dearly and I hope your stay in "the Port" is a long and deliciously evil one.
In the park, Skye introducers herself to Heather as the "Crazed Ice-Pick Killer of Port Charles." Heather, playing coy, says that she really doesn't read the news and has no idea whom she is. Heather gives Skye a little back story by saying that she used to be Laura's aunt by marriage and that she just recently got back to town and wanted to know who is still in PC. Hence, her reason at the courthouse.
They part and Skye heads back to home where she sees a blonde woman standing outside her door. Thinking that Heather followed her home (she got some weird vibes from her in the park) she hesitates to open the door until Courtney announces herself. Courtney has stopped by to see how Skye is handling the whole Jax thing. Courtney informs Skye that Jax feels that he betrayed his former wife on the stand even though he was telling the truth. Skye then switches the topic by asking Court how and when she became involved with Jax. Courtney denies it at first but then confess she has some feelings for him.
Meanwhile, Heather has arrived at Kelly's and rents a room above the diner. After a quick change of the "all black gear" she chats up Mike saying that she is back in town to "renew old ties" In walks Leslie and Lulu and Leslie is startled to see Heather there. They sit and chat. Heather asks Leslie if she received her letter stating her apology for all the bad things she has done. Leslie says she did but questions if it was just part of her therapy. While Heather informs her that it was, she really did mean it. Yeah, her apology is as meaningful as a bible in a whorehouse. Leslie then fills Heather in on the latest of Laura. Something tells me she already knew.
Back at Skye's, Courtney is replaced by the arriving Lucky and Emily. Earlier, they were in the park (a real happening place in Port Charles) discussing Skye's trial. The short of it? Lucky is glad he changed his mind and wants to help figure out who is the real culprit of Lt. Ross' murder. Emily is on board. "Maybe we can find something or someone that everyone else has missed." Gee, like NIKOLAS!!! Whatever.
At Skye's, Lucky and Emily ask her what happened that night. Skye gives them what she remembers. Back at Kelly's, Heather opens her luggage to take out a knife and a photo album. She opens the photo album and thumbs through General Hospital publicity photos of Laura Weber. Heather does a little rhyme: "Ashes to ashes they all fall down." We are then treated to seeing the murder of Lt. Ross Duncan as it is revealed to the audience that Heather is the one who stabbed him in the back with an ice-pick once Skye passed out in from her drunken tryst.
The Trials and Tribulations of Sam McCall
At Police HQ, Jason tells Ric about Nico and of course Ric doesn't believe a word of it. At the Penthouse, Nico has grabbed Sam and as Carly gets off the elevator she spots the two. Getting into Sydney Bristow mode, Carly knocks down Nico and rushes Sam into Sonny's. Not bothering to lock the door behind them, they call 911. At Police HQ, Ric gets the word about Carly and Sam. Sonny says that the only way to keep him there is to shot him in the back. Sonny walks out of HQ to get to the penthouse while Jason signals that he is going too by pointing towards the door. Thus solidifying his mantra "As Sonny goes, so goes my nation"
Sonny, Jason, Ric and random Police Officer arrive at the penthouse. Carly and Sam recount what just happened and Ric believes it is a deliberate plot ("creating a false emergency") from keeping Sonny and Jason to answer questions. Carly then goes off on Ric saying that his vendetta against his brother is getting old. Ric questions Carly's actions against Nico, basically her fighting him, and Carly said she just did what had to be done. Sam thanks Carly for "saving her life" Carly suggests that Jason takes Sam to the island to protect her. Sonny disagrees at first but then reluctantly agrees. Sonny and Carly share a moment together on the couch (not like that, get your minds out of the gutter), a bonding moment.
Jason and Sam arrive on the island via the "Super Jet" Remember, this is the same plane that got Jason to Italy in no time whatsoever a while back. In fact it was the same evening in Italy as Courtney and Jax were at the same restaurant wearing the same clothes. Apparently, there is no such thing as time zones or travel times in Soap Opera Land.
A storm is brewing on the island, literally and metaphorically as Nico watches Sam and Jason from the outside. Apparently, Nico has the same "Super Jet" in his possession.
