General Hospital Update for Friday, 25-Jun-2004

PENTHOUSE-
Despite having just agreed to “be honest” with Jason, Sam does not tell him that Nicco threaten to expose her secret during his latest phone call. Jason can tell she lying and puts her under house arrest. He confiscates her cell phone and orders Max not to let her out of the apt.

BISHOP HOME-
After making love “Connor” jumps out of bed and with an “I need time alone to think” excuse rushes off, leaving Mary to wonder and worry about what is going on with them.

L&B-
Jax’s quick (no questions asked, no bargaining) agreement to financial backing for the company makes Lois look more closely at his behavior since getting involved with Courtney. Jax admits that he is starting to care for Sonny’s sister as more than just a business associate.

COURTHOUSE-
After getting Skye to admit (on the witness stand) that she covered up the murder of Detective Duncan with help from Luke, Ric badgers Skye into admitting that she would have done anything Luke asked because she loves him – anything but murder she clarifies. During a break Alexis tells Lucky that she wants him to testify in Skye’s behalf and admit that things just don’t add up in Luke’s behavior, especially his absence from the proceedings. Lucky refuses and Emily lays into him and challenges him to stop looking at everything from a son’s perspective. She tells him that if he will just look at everything from a cop’s perspective he will see that something is wrong and take action, before an innocent woman is convicted. Meanwhile, Alan tries to cheer up a dejected Skye. Later to everyone’s surprise and Ric’s irritation, Lucky’s testimony is favorable to Skye especially when during Alexis’ cross exam he admits that he DOES NOT think Skye is guilty. When the day’s proceedings are over Alexis thanks Lucky for his help and from his comments realizes that Lucky misses his brother more than anyone realized. Meanwhile, out in the hall all the Q’s jump on Tracy and bash her for testifying against Skye. As she is trying to leave the courthouse for what might be her last night of freedom, Skye notices someone watching her from a shadowed corner. When the person, a woman dressed in black with long blonde hair, takes off, Skye pursues her.

HOSPITAL-
After Alcazar denies involvement in Sonny’s shooting, Carly rushes tries to rush her family out of the hospital but is irritated when Sonny refuses to go with them. Once they are alone, Sonny asks Alcazar to convince him that he didn’t hire the assassin. Alcazar claims that he doesn’t need to kill Sonny because he is confident that Carly will soon realize it was a mistake to get back with Sonny and ditch him again – for good. When Jason arrives to report the latest happening in the Nicco saga, Sonny tells him about the run-in with Alcazar and that despite not wanting too, he believes Alcazar is not the one responsible for the attempts on their lives. Believing that something else is going on, Sonny tells Jason to check a little deeper into Sam’s past. Carly returns as Jason leaves, but Sonny still refuses to go home with her. Carly leaves in a huff.

PARK-
Mike finds Courtney waiting for Jax in the park and during the course of a little father/daughter talk Courtney reveals that she may have been wrong about Jax.
Elsewhere in the park, Emily runs into Nik/Connor who accuses her of following him. When he tells her to stop chasing him, Emily slaps him and hurls out a few home truths. Also Skye has followed the mystery woman to the park. When she finally catches up with and confronts her, the woman introduces herself as Heather Webber.

DOCKS-
Alcazar takes a walk on the docks not realizing that Nicco is lying in wait for him, gun at the ready. Before Nicco can get a shot off "Connor" shows up and asks Lorenzo to send him back to work. While the two are discussing weather or not it is a good idea for Connor to leave Mary so soon after her “accident” Nicco gets Alcazar in his sights and aims. Connor spots the shooter and pushes Lorenzo out of harm’s way. Sirens wail in the distance; Nicco runs; Connor also takes his leave before the police arrive. Mac and the officer du-jour arrive and question Alcazar who in turn names Sonny and Faith as possible suspects.
After Alexis advises Emily to tell Lucky the truth about Nik she seeks him out but does not tell him. They end up sharing another kiss.

BISHOP HOME-
“Connor’ returns home to find Mary waiting for him with a romantic evening all planned out. Things don’t go quite as she planned when she realizes he is wearing a gun and demands he stop working for Alcazar. They get into an argument and Connor demands that she tell him whatever it is she is hiding from him.

POLICE STATTION-
Jason and Sonny are hauled down to PCPD (by Ric) who questions them about the attempt on Alcazar. When Max is brought in they realize that Sam, Carly and the children have been left unprotected by Ric’s actions.

PENTHOUSE-
When (what she assumes are Max’s) strange movements outside the door catch her attention, Sam steps out to speak with the guard only to find herself once again on the verge of being kidnapped. Nicco pulls a gun, grabs Sam by the hair and starts toward the elevator. The doors open and out steps…

WHO IS HEATHER WEBBER?
Well let me sum it up for you (at least to the best of my memory)
What I remember most about Heather Grant (play by three different actress through the years) the reigning
PSYCHO-BITCH OF GH (from mid 70’s to about mid 80’s)
She came to town, got a job as a nanny, by lying. Caught the eye of Dr. Jeff Webber.
Seduced him; got pregnant. They married; had a boy (Steven Lars). Ran off to NYC
Sold the baby. Spent time in mental institution. Returned to PC only to find Jeff was through with her. Was involved in the deaths of Steven Lars adoptive parents (Peter and Diana Taylor)
Involved with cutie pie P.I. Joe Kelly, who dumped her when he found out she was also sleeping with Scott Baldwin. Stayed around long enough to be implicated in her cousin’s (Susan Moore) death. Plotted, along with Scott, to gain custody of Susan’s (and Alan Q’s) infant son, Jason who just happened to have a multi million dollar trust. Didn’t win; Jason eventually ended up with Alan and Monica (who grew to love him as a son).
After that I don’t remember much about her and I can’t imagine what she has to do with the Luke/Laura/Skye triangle, but then as I always say “Once a psycho, always a psycho”. I guess we’ll just have to see what the writers have in store for us.
