General Hospital Update for Friday, 23-Apr-2004

Today's episode on General Hospital was exciting! For a while, I felt that there were too many complications , and not enough resolutions, but.. things are happening which will be resolved or compound relationships. Now, Please do not tell me that soaps have to be very complex to keep the viewers' interest. OK? At least, Monica told Carly and Sonny what ,to me, had to be said.She told them ,in essence, that instead of sleeping around, they should have been focusing on Michael's needs. True.. perhaps a bit judgmental, but someone had to say it. Little Michael feels lost which is so natural for any small child to feel during a separation of parents. As Sonny said:" He is innocent." "All he wanted to do was tolove his mommy and daddy." Sonny really seems to blame himself for Michael's traumatic fall, surgery, etc. He actually bargains with God. He says: " I promise you, Lord, if you will let Michael live, I will try to make things right with his mommy." Of course, a sad Sonny does not know that a dejected, anxious Sam is about to take a pregnancy test. Thus, Sonny and Carly's reconciliation may not take place.Sam says that she feels that Sonny needs her, but how? Sam is hooked on Sonny, this is for sure.
In the meantime, Skye is very anxious about the policeman's corpse in the Quartermaine's freezer. Needless to say,TRACY follows her from the lounge to the Quartermaine's home.She sees " THE STIFF" ROSS.Oh me! Will she blackmail Skye? Luke and Skye intrigue me.It's great to know that Skye, as well as Faith ,can be quite comical.
Dillon decides to accept a job offer from Ned so he asks Luke for shelter. Georgie tries to take a smelly room and make it better for Dillard. These two love each other, but one wonders if Georgie is ready for sex. Hopefully, she will use her head and not just her heart as she decides. They are both, indeed, a unique teen couple whom I follow with interest. Being a teen is not easy.SOOO.
Mary is quite upset when Nicolas says that he will paint the church for the priest. Mary knows how much this church means to Emily. While playfully throwing paint at each other, Mary and Nic have a romantic moment which leads to a romantic tryst in" a hot shower scene." One wonders what will occur with these two. This charade cannot go on indefinitely. Also, Lucky and Em seem to be bonding more and more which will = more complications on GH.
To me, Steve Burton or Jason really touched our little soap opera hearts with his telling Courtney how much he loves Michael. Court says: " Michael has 3 parents". This was a crowning emotional moment between Courtney and Jason who still adore each other.As Court said: " I let Jason go because I didn't fit into his lifestyle." How sad but true!Courtney was trying to tell Sam why she needs to back away from Sonny and Carly . Will Sam run?
As one can see ,there are many missing parts that one will need to complete in these scenarios. Sooooo tune in on Monday to check on these characters in conflict. PS. Why is Ric Lansing trying to push Alexis so hard with his harrassment? (Just a question to provoke thought) :-)
