General Hospital Update for Friday, 19-Dec-2003

General Hospital has these bittersweet feelings among its characters today. After all, Christmas time seems to evoke these feelings. Right? Courtney is sad and truly confused about returning to Jason. He leaves town for the holidays so things will not be so strained for her. Of course, Bryan is there to comfort her. Carly tells Court that love has everything to do with her reconciliation with Jason. Courtney replies; "I love Jason too much to stay with him." His life as a mobster is simply too much for Courtney to live with.
Earlier as Jason drove through the snow, one of the lovely, evil Faith's goons knocked him out. Faith took advantage of this situation to reciprocate Sonny's stash. Much to her chagrin, she finds a legit collection of toys for Sonny's priest to give to needy children. Could Faith have taken on a new role as Santa?THis is the humorous scene!
A touching scenario occurs as Liz tells Ric about the baby to come. Thinking it is his, he asks her to re-marry him. They marry in a short, sweet ceremony. They are on their way to SC for their honeymoon when Ric receives an unwanted note. It says: " You are not the father." He wants a straight answer from Liz , but does she plan to tell him the truth? Emily seems to be the only one who knows that this child is Zander's. Oh ME!DId EM send this note?
In another situation, Sam's dad Cody warns her to tell the truth about the cache of jewels at the bottom of the ship COURAGE. He seems to want to blackmail her. Jax quickly goes diving with Sam to locate the rest of the treasure.Nicholas confronts Edward who, reluctantly, tells him a story about how Constance Quartermaine died in the sinking of THE COURAGE. She was wearing the lovely, diamond tiara( her wedding day) that Sam has held onto.Em and Nic tell the Quartermaines that they can divide this treasure since they both need money. Nic overhears a gleeful Sam say to Jax:" WE are rich."" All we have to do is to get someone to help pull up this glorious loot." Nicholas has news for them.
Thoughts to ponder as you fans look forward to Monday's show are: Will Liz tell Ric the truth about the baby and lose him? Will NIC and Emily be able to retrieve some of the treasure? And ..Will Sonny and Carly's love be all that it was? Sonny says: " We have a good life with our sons, and now, I am ready to live it." A fan saw Sonny's kind ,benevolent heart today.
