General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 23-Sep-2003

Sonny visits Lily's grave only to see Carly's name on the tombstone...as he turns away and rubs his eyes, he looks back to see Lily's name. Carly walks into Nicola's hospital room just as Capelli was about to kill him with the lights off. Carly turns on the lights and asks what Capelli is doing there - where he conveniently comes up with the excuse of 'protecting' Nicola's by checking on the security. So he leaves saying that he is posting 2 plain clothes cops at Nicola's hospital door. Carly asks Nicola's if he thinks Alcazar is behind his attack on the docks...but alas Jason comes in and he tells Nicola's not to answer the question. Jason kicks Carly out of Nicola's room. Sonny bursts in upset to Carly's hospital room, only to find her not there. Alcazar delivers a huge bouquet of white lilies (secret 'Lily' meaning? Humphh...) but Maxie informs him that Carly is not accepting flowers from anyone but her husband.
Mac walks in on Dylan and Georgie. They have the father/daughter heart-to-heart where Mac uses a little reverse psychology to make Maxie feel mature in her decisions but missing her mother. Mac says that both Dylan and her ironically have absentee mothers (good point Mac!). Mac leaves the room where then Dylan and Georgie decide not to make love yet...
Emily tells Zander that she is in love with both Nicola's and him. She also confesses that she married Zander because she thought she was going to die (talking about laying all the cards down!). Zander says it will take him a long time to get the pictures out of his mind and tells Emily that he if she wants to be with him, he will protect her at the cottage and not on 'the Princes turf'. Emily goes to the cottage with Zander. Zander breaksdown by himself in front of the fireplace...
Alcazar tells Faith the history of Lily and how a love can 'haunt' a man because it happened to him also. This is the key to distroying Sonny.
Sonny leaves Carly's hospital room only to see a glimpse of a women walking in the corridor who resembles Lily...
