General Hospital Update for Monday, 25-Aug-2003

General Hospital was really active today! Emily is in critical condition because the antibiotic they have given her does not seem to be working well.She had a bad seizure while Nicholas was with her. When asked about the worst possible scenario, Monica tells Zander that she could die. Her immune system is weak.. Nicolas and Zander take turns talking to her about their unconditional love for her. Nic even goes so far as to tell Stefan that he will annul his marriage to Lydia and will marry Emily if she comes back. Stefan ,in a beaten condition from thugs, tells him that their creditors will kill him if he does this. Oh ME! Trouble lies ahead for Nic and his uncle.In the meantime, Emily starts out in a swing in a DREAM SEQUENCE with Zander, but then, Nicholas is seen demurely dancing with her. This is a love triangle for sure ,and no one seems to know its outcome. Speaking of triangular involvements, Alcazar tells Sonny that he does love Carly. He seems to appear no matter where Carly is.Today, he catches her before she falls. An angry Sonny tells Lorenzo that he will NEVER have Carly..Alcazar is playing mind games with Sonny, but he does seem to have the hots for Carly.He even sends her lovely long stemmed roses which Carly says her mom sent to her. Sonny is irate because he finds the card in the trash can which says:" Thinking of you as always, Lorenzo." Could Carly have a soft spot for the dreaded foe of her beloved Sonny?Who knows? Sonny told Alcazar very firmly that he is asking for a death sentence. Alcazar just smiles smugly.Sonny demands to know why Carly lied to him about the sender of the roses.Courtney tries to engage Jason in BABY TALK. She asks if they can have a baby. He asks; "What's the rush?" She learns from her doctor that she suffered some internal damage when she lost their child.She is crushed ,and blames herself for diving into that cold water. The doctor tells her that she may never be able to have a child. Courtney has tried to tell Jason about the pregnancy, losing their baby , etc. for so long. Will Jason be furious with her? Will he seek revenge?
Faith tries to help hide Ric whom she has helped to free from the hospital. She wants to love and comfort him, but he says NO to her advances. He asks her to help him to flee the country, but she brings Baldwin to the scene.NOW WHAT!
Lucky listens to the tape that Lydia has concerning Darius' so - called attempt to blackmail Stefan. Lucky tells a firey Lydia that it is not enough evidence to prove that Stefan had Summer killed thinking that she was Emily. Stefan stood at EM'S bedside and said: "You should have died."Tune into GH tomorrow to see how Courtney, Emily, and Carly's lives will be altered in some profound way.
