General Hospital Update for Monday, 4-Aug-2003

Declarations of Love have hit General Hospital today! Ric declares his love for Liz, Courtney declares her love for Jason, Sonny declares his love for Carly, and ,in a way, Nic and Emily declare their love. It's kind of like Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with Emily, Nicholas, and Zander. IT's a very tearful scene. Will Zander still want to help EM? Nic says that he must return to Lydia who is one upset bride. Lydia puts the move on Lucky until Stefan enters. Stefan warns Nic that he must consummate his marriage to Lydia or lose what the family has agreed to. An angry Nicholas asks:" Are you here to push me into this consummation.?" Nic approaches an angry lydia who slaps him and tells him that she hates him. Why is Lucky hanging around this manipulative female? This is not too clear to this viewer.Is Lucky trying to prove his point to Nicolas or is he falling for Lydia? Time will tell.. OOPS.. After all, Nic has just told Emily that he will always love her. She, in a sense, has done the same. Will Zander be able to forget how much Em could have loved Nic? Who knows? Not I.
Sonny and Jason must try to rescue Carly now. Sonny says a goodbye to a sleeping Michael.Sonny says; "" Your mommy came to me like a bolt of lightning. She's a miracle worker. " Courtney begs Jason not to take this dangerous chance to free Carly. She is about to tell him why, but it didn't happen today. In the meantime, Carly goes into early labor pains. The doc that Alcazar brings in begs him to take Carly to a medical facility. The meds the doctor gives Carly to stop these pains does not work. Therefore, the doc pleads with Alcazar to decide on what is best for Carly and her child. Both could die if the doctor does not do a C section sooooo. Lorenzo must make this decision of life or death. I think that Lorenzo will choose to save Carly whom he seems to have " a THING FOR".Will this baby die?
Ric begins a love letter to Liz who walks in unexpectantly. Faith has told her where Ric is being kept. I guess the EVIL Faith really does love Ric enough to try to save him.Liz has told Court that the Ric she loved was not ALL BAD. Will Liz try to help Ric to escape?Tune in tomorrow to get the answers to today's conundrums.
