General Hospital Update for Thursday, 31-Jul-2003

Wedding Day…
Nick & Lydia…. The intimate ceremony is crashed by Lucky protesting that his brother should not marry because he is in love with someone else. Then a few moments later, Emily bursts in saying that she loves Nick too much to let him do this. Nick takes her outside and tells her that he will stop ceremony if she means she “really” loves him and wants to be with him. But she couldn’t say it, so she leaves… Lydia (is old one coming back??) comes up and Nick says that he will marry her and get her the money, but that he has something to do 1st. He leaves and gives Zander a call to tell him that Emily needs him, that she has left the ceremony and that he (Nick) still plans to wed. Nick heads back to the wedding and it progresses to the point that Lydia has said “she does”, and we are waiting on Nick ….

Now this phone call is a problem because earlier Zander and Gia are “tired of being noble” and they end up in bed together. In fact Nicks call comes right after they make love… (by the way I don’t think there is any “on screen” chemistry between the two of them) So will Zander go look for Emily??? Gia tells him too, but will he go??? We see Em sitting on docks crying, she pulls out a necklace and looks at it for a time then puts it back. (I’ve been gone most summer… so I don’t know who gave her the neckace)

SHE’S PREGNANT! Courtney takes the test and it’s positive. She sees Mike at Kellys and he sees a brochure about pregnancy and she “fesses” up and tells him, but she gets him to keep the secret until Carly is found. She does’t want Sonny and Jason to send her away. She almost tells Jason when they finally have a quiet moment together, but it doesn’t happen. (do the writers have babies on the brain or what!!!! )

Sonny’s deal with “Alcazar” was completed and he is taken to see Carly. Carly earlier “bonks” a guard on the head and exchanges clothes with him, heads off to the wheel house to send s.o.s. and to steal the charts so she can figure out where the ship is. She was caught and taken back to her room. When Sonny is brought to her she is forced to give up her charts, (she doesn’t know that charts she took were a week old anyway). But Sonny has brought a bug, or a “gps” transmitter or something like that, he puts it under the base of a lamp. They stop talking and start kissing…. The whole time “Alcazar” is listening at the door. (Another thing I missed this summer is who "Alcazar" is... a brother I guess)

I think that’s about it, a “huge” lightening storm popped up in the middle of the show, so I missed a few moments. I’ve been away from the tv most all summer so I’m just now getting caught back up on whats happening on the show. I’m surprised that some of these stories are still going on!

Oh yeah, Faith goes to talk to Liz about what she feels for Ric, and Liz is very bitter about him… So Faith gets in to see Ric (who looks very good with his 2 day old stubble) and trys to blackmail him into sleeping with her.. She will kill Liz if he doesn’t… Ric tells her he will sleep with her but that the whole time he will be imagining she is his wife. Well that steams her and she tells him that she is the best thing that ever happened to him, but he’s too stupid to know it…

Well, I’ve have tried to upload this a few times.. seems I have a weather related internet problem, so hopefully my very 1st update won’t be too late… Later.... BJ
